Shambhala Bungalow Village
Reviewed March 20, 2012

We spent 5 nights here in march.

This place is wonderfull with a very nice quiet beach. The view from the restaurant is "postcard" perfect. The bungalows are a bit basics but very nice and in harmony with the nature, in wooden style with mosquitoe net and a big terrace with a hammock and a mattress. Even though our bungalow was not on the beach, it was very nice and relaxing, listening at the night's jungle sounds...
Also good because 5mn away by taxi or motorbike from the main village Thongsala. From the main road you can also climb up to a bar for a stunning sunset view.

Very good value for money, don't hesitate to come to this little paradise...

When you arrive by boat, don't take the collective taxis with the other tourists, they are very expensive (150 baths/pers). Walk straight to the center and get a taxi there, it will be cheaper.

We stayed in Shambhala for 5 night and it was a perfect place.
Great beachfront bungalows for very good price, friendly staff and good food.
Beach was quiet and perfect.
I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and people who are looking for quiet nice place right in front of beach. This place will be better than you can imagine.

Room Tip: Beachfront bungalows are perfect. Others are very good, too.

Nice family run resort on the beach, simple bungalows, some of them beachfront. There is also a restaurant with some snacks and some thai dishes. The beach is nice and quiet.

Shambala is located on one of the most beautyful beaches on the island. And its so near to Thongsala. The restaurant is just on the beach, wonderful and relaxed - exept for the owner. He is kind of irritated all the time cause people bring sand in the restaurant. But hey, its ON THE BEACH... And the restaurant is a lot like Thailand use to be, you will get wrong orders many time. It seams that they dont want to understand, even though you repeat the order 5 times. But all is allright cause you enjoy the view, the sand, the sea and the good coffe (if you get the one you ordered). The bungaows are fantastic, clean and on the beach (or with the same view as on the beach - it means paradise). I will be back - in spite of the pedantic (mr Faulty) owner and the confused staff.

It is a very calm and silent place where you can sleep as long as you would like to )) or count the stars in the evening and listen to the sound of water. Our bungalow was even better than in the photos in the internet.
The staff is really kind and nice. We also had a chance to rent a bike and move across the Koh Pangan.

Ben, thank you for your shambala salad! It's adorable )
Hope to get back to Shambala someday!

From Moscow with love.

Me and my husband had a wonderful time at Shambhala bungalow village.
The bungalow was big and very clean, nights were silent and quiet. And the balcony! I loved staying on the balcony during the evenings, reading, enjoying the silence and the peace. It is situated directly on a beautiful beach where you can enjoy the sunset.
They're about to finish building the restaurant, and I can't wait to go back to try it!
The owner, Carlo, is really a good person. He speaks German, English and Italian. He will provide you the motorbike if you need it, and when you arrive, he will come and pick you up at the pier. We really loved Shambhala and want to go back soon.

My boyfriend and I found this place by chance and we ended up staying there for 7 days. Beautiful new bungalows with a breath taking view. Its located just a bit outside the party city so its so quiet at night. If you want to get around you have to rent a scooter which they have there at a good rate. We travelled the whole island on two wheels! Their's no restaurant on the resort but they have a small menu for room service. But they sometimes organise BBQ on the beach.

Very friendly staff! Great experience! I would go back tomorrow if I could! I love this place!
