“A beautiful place to stay.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for four nights and loved every second of it. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow it was well equipped and evan had a hammock on the porch. The resort has a lovely pool area a stones throw from the private beach. The pool was fantastic with different sections for jets, loungers in the pool and a deep section. The resort was about 20 minutes from hadrin and we payed 100 THB to go to the full moon party. We were very happy to stay away from handrin and come and go as we please. The staff were excellent when organising our excursions and taxis etc they also gave us some local advice about good places to go etc. The food was excellent we ate in the restaurant many times and it is very well priced. At the end of our trip they dropped us to the pier. Overall an excellent place to stay, i would definitely recccomend it anyone.

Unfortunately we only had one night at the hotell. We dropped in because we lost our boat to Koh Tao and the staff was super helpful. They picked us up for free and helped us book new tickets for the boat. The bungalow was really nice as well. The food was good and I can not think about any place I've ever been were the staff was so serviceminded.

Upon arrival we were over whelmed with options for accommodation but chose to speak with a lovely lady (who is the owners sister) who pointed us in the direction of a 4x4 Sabaii truck and it escorted us to the resort! Per (the owner who was driving) then took us to reception. On observation it was a beautiful place and ticked all the initial boxes.

We were given a number of options depending on budget and chose a room. The room was fantastic, clean fresh and comfortable with air con and a fan. Heated shower and clean bathroom! The resort is safe and secure to the degree that I left my phone in my bike overnight and a member of staff moved it when it started raining and gave it back in the morning!! By any standards that is honest and caring beyond any establishments standards I have stayed at internationally!!

Once we got settled in the room we had a look round. Speechless is a good description. Yards away from the beach with a swimming pool that blends into the sea, beach chairs loungers for resident use next to the pool and on the beach, clean stretch of beach surrounded by palm trees. A real paradise picture! Just up from the beach and pool is a tree house bar...really nice touch to the pool beach bar area! Also bungalows were located from the beach up, if you want a sea sunset view they can do!

Feeling peckish we went to the restaurant, the menu has various options from Thai to western food and I must say the food was amazing! I ate mainly Thai food and everything I tried was exceptional!! They even cooked me Thai dishes that were not on the menu....outstanding!!

Wanting to gain more knowledge on the island they helped us with maps, information and bike hire so in no time we could tour the island be mobile and enjoy ourselves. They are a one stop shop for onward travel, visa runs, car / bike hire accommodation, food and a fantastic holiday!

The staff are fantastic from the owners to the service. Mai and Per (the owners) are 2 of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting and would be the sole reason why I would go back to koh panghan! They were so helpful and caring we were shocked on how nice people can be! This is then adopted by their staff, they are so helpful and caring we didn't want to leave!

I would name everyone but they know who they are and the staff and resort made our holiday to be one of the best ever!!

I would recommend this place to the world and beyond!!

Hope to see you soon!! Paul & Chris (rockstars)

Situated on the South of the Island close enough to Hadrin (20mins/100THB by Tuk Tuk) to enjoy the party scene without being in the middle of a perma-rave 24/7 - this small bungalow resort ticks all the boxes for those who want to stay on the island and take in all it has to offer, whilst being reasonably buget minded.

The resort offers a variety of different room types stretching back from the beachfront (predominantly bungalows) for various budgets, and has seen considerable development over the past year with the inclusion of a Swimming Pool (to compliment the sandy beach front), treehouse bar and 'hotel' block (close to being finished at the rear of the property). It should be noted that development is quick and relatively unintrusive, and though taking place whilst we stayed did not interrupt our visit. As far as demographics- the resort would likely best suit those in the 25-35 range who value a healthy mix of both party and relaxation, its a great place to spend a day on the beach tanning, before hitting the bar for some tunes then jumping aboard a taxi to the more solubrious parts of the island.

What really needs to be lauded are its owners, who will go to extraordinary lengths in order to help their guests, its not unknown to see them sat down with fellow travellers helping them plan in detail their onward journey offering all the local knowledge and advice they can, even picking up the phone to make bookings on their behalf- this is the kind of service you dont often even see in some 5* luxury hotel resorts. Despite they fact they are clearly very busy, they are always more than happy to take the time to help with literally any query you may have.

Room wise- on the curve of whats on offer on the island it represents very good value. It should be noted this is a bungalow resort and not a hotel. You cant escape the odd power or water outtage on any Thai island, wherever you stay- and it likely wont suit the luxury conscious, however for those who want a great Thai experience surrounded by good people, great (very reasonably priced) food and well mixed cocktails, you cant go wrong.

All in all, a great place- we've been every year since we discovered it and plan to head back again soon- I for one cant wait.

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear of the resort escape most of the music coming from the bar later at night though a...

Just back from our second stay at Sabaii Bay. It's beautiful and boutique with lots of character and personal touches which may it feel like a home from home. There's always a laid back atmosphere and great tunes coming from the bar. The food is fantastic - ask Mai for one of her pancakes :). Many of the other guest were return visitors like us that go back year after year which speaks for itself. Per and Mai go out of their way to help from picking us up and dropping us off at the ferry, getting motorbikes for us to explore the island. They helped the friends we were with to find accommodation for their next stay in Koh Tao.
It's a great location - only 5 mins ride to the shops and markets and just 20 mins away from the Hadrin Hills and full moon party beach. We had a wonderful stay, highly recommended. Per and Mai we'll see you next year.

Room Tip: They are all a little different depending on budget so ask to have a look and pick the right one for...

My partner and i first visited this resort 2010, we were met at the port and taken to the most enchanting, idilic, stunning resort i could imagine, we settled in and went for food (which was fantastic by the way, Authentic with westener choices also).

As we got to know the owners we totally connected with them and made to feel like we were home away from home. We watched movies together and spent the rest of the evening meeting other guests and chilling with music and playing pool.

We ended up staying more nights as we did not want to leave.

In 2012 We returned to Koh Panang and as we had added them to facebook just messaged them and they came to pick us up, yet again we stayed in our home away from home.

We are now getting married in 2014 and are arraging our wedding to be set there, there is no better place i could think of having it. Im so excited.

Myself and three friends stayed here after viewing some really crappy hotels in Koh Phangan. We were met by the owner, Mai. Her family own this hotel and they are the NICEST people ever, we had so much fun staying here. Everything we need they either got or told us how to get there, Mai even gave us a lift to the full moon party when we couldn't get a taxi!

Food was great, our accomodation was a hut right on the beach - beautiful views and we had a room that slept all four of us! It was really clean and nice. We had air con, which was a GOD SEND considering how hot it was. We were made to feel so at home and safe.

A lot of people have mentioned walking back to the house - we got taxis most of the time, and their pet dog met us at the end of the drive every time and walked us back to our rooms! She was a dream! Made us feel much safer in the night!

The swimming pool was being constructed whilst we were there, but it looks INCREDIBLE!!

We loved the people, the food, and all the pets they have - dogs and kittens! We had a lovely time and really wanted to stay even longer! I would definitely recommend to anyone!
