“A place to be...”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

The damage done by our earlier resort in Kho Phangan was repaired by this resort. It’s a very lively place, neat and clean rooms. Not very specious but well managed and designed rooms. Infinity pool was clean, we enjoyed a lot. It is just on the beach. Restaurant had a decent choice of food in breakfast and otherwise. Resort is situated on a hill and thus makes it picturesque for the guests staying in the rooms at the peak. They have a shuttle service for pick-up and drop to the pier. The staff is very loyal and supportive. Guest in one room had checked out and was waiting for the shuttle to pier had left his shoes in the room somehow, the cleaning staff after noticing had immediately informed the reception and finally they returned it to him. The purpose of our visit to Kho Phangan was Full moon party and believe me it was fun being there, we booked the pick-up and drop paid facility to the party offered by the resort. We also booked our return ferry tickets at the hotel itself. They made our job so easy and convenient, we are thankful to the resort staff for this. Will unquestionably recommend this resort if you are planning for a night halt in Koh Phangan.

Room Tip: Room high on the hill has great view

Really lovely hotel.3 pools are gorgeous. We had a fabulous family apartment with two bedrooms and Jacuzzi for 2 adults and 2 children and it was kept spotless. Very child friendly on a lovely short beach. We took a snorkelling trip organised by the hotel and it was great. The hotel is built quite high, into a cliff, so you might have to walk up many steps to your room, but luckily they have a club car to take you to and from your room if required. This lovely hotel is let down by its food though. Breakfast is only ok. Staff are very helpful.

Room Tip: If you ask for sea view, you will be put to the top of the location and the views are absolutely gor...

Dear Our Value Guest

We would like thank you for your lovely comment and we are happy to hear that you were satisfied while staying at the hotel. However, about the food issue I will take this as an urgent case to bring into staff meeting and find a better solution for it. Lastly, we hope that we would have a chance to welcome you to our place again and for your next visit the food is going to be better for sure.

Best Regards

We stayed in one of the rooms on the hillside, which, if you have problems walking or getting around this will be a problem.
On arrival the staff at reception appeared disinterested, at best, and just rude at worst.
Everything seemed like a real hassle.
The room we had was very nice if a wee bit small.
The buffet breakfast is ok and your eggs and waffles are cooked to order.the food at the restaurant was very good and the lady, whose name I've forgotten, who was the manager was very accommodating.
One of the waiters was a little too over familiar and was constantly at our table talking to our wee boy. Which was ok initially but got tiresome at the end.
The pools were ok but the pool boys were very lazy.
The beach here is very nice.
If I hadn't of gotten a good deal on agoda I would've been disappointed at having to pay the full asking price.

We were at the Salad Buri for 3 nights with my husband before we travelled back home. With had a villa with a private pool, which was just amazing. Please note that I am only talking about the pool villas, I saw the garden villas from outside and the little rooms upstairs from reception, so I can understand the negative comments, if you have stayed in these rooms. The villa was nicely decorated, we enjoyed the pool, which was clean and cool. The view is amazing, as the villas are high up on the hillside, yet it doesn't take long to walk the stairs to the reception. We did not use the big pool for everyone, it was full of families with small children. The breakfast was good, lots to choose from. Ok for snorkeling, but I would recommend the next beach to north, Mae Haad, which is awesome for snorkeling. It's not far away, you can rent a scooter or take the tuk tuk. If you are going to the full moon party, I would stay somewhere else. Recommend for couples and families.

Although the hotel looks nice and is kept clean (except from the pool which water is dirty and far from clear), the service is very poor, the food is okay but limited choice for breakfast (special mention to the plastic boxes on show on the buffet, strictly no investment in the customer), on the evening the restaurant is disorganized and the food not so good.
We went to eat at the restaurant of 'salad hut' which is located on the same beach, two minutes away from there and far better.
The reception helps you organize day trips but when we wanted to make a local phone call to a canopy place for inquiries, they asked for money (20 baht which is much more than what a local call costs).
If the hotel would improve their service, it would certainly live up to the setting.

Room Tip: Be as close as possible to the bottom of the resort

We had an awful experience in this resort. By telephone we made arrangements for a boat trip. Afterwards we were confronted with a ten times higher price! Instead of agreeing to disagree on the price and come to an understanding, we were told by the staff that we are liers and should leave to go back to our home country. This very unprofessional attitude was not corrected by the hotel manager who was present. Finally we settled on a too high price with the hotel manager in order to continue our holiday here. So be very aware of ripp-off deals with the reception staff!
