Rooms are not really value for money. For the price we paid, better quality was expected, but alas that wasn't the case. The bungalows themselves were well designed & constructed, but the amenities were of bare minimum & service was mediocre at best. Our room wasn't cleaned or tidied for the first few days, and when we questioned them, they said they had lost the spare key!
Our toilet got clogged and we had to keep reminding them to send maintenance, and they promising to send one, but non came. The manager actually had the cheek to ask us if it was ok if he handed us the plunger to do it ourselves! We said no, please send someone to come do it, and one guy finally came. This was after a whole day of the toilet not being usable.

We would like to apologize for what happen with you.
but you can't change my talk with you , we didn't lose the spare keys never.
we told you that our earlier guest took the keys with them and forget it to return(an accident only),
we were promised to have them back soon but didn't happen.
i cam by my self copy another one and checked your toilet same you said, and i got to know that you have thrown toilet paper on it and get it clogged , even we put Warring notice about that, you cant say that our bungalow wasn't value of money because not make up your room for 2 days, we offers you a unique experience on the best bamboo hut that you can find, we did a lot of efforts building this eco bungalow and they are definitely not same as cement bungalows, and we have the best spot surrounding with nature and quietness .
read all the other reviews and maybe you did already and you will not find any negative review that rate us same you.
anyway we decided to take key deposit from the customer to be sure that what happen with you not happen again.
we would like to thank you so much for being supportive for ecological environmental concepts.

Nice, away from the traffic, with great staff and owners. I really liked the atmosphere there.

Minuses - those bamboo huts have gaps between planks of the size of big finger (in bathroom) not protected by any nets or something. I did not see any spiders or frogs, but...

Moscitos were not a huge problem, but there were a few.

AC was OK. The only objection that I had is that we were cooling the air that freely comes from the outside ( not an ECO concept).

No deposit box... presumably only in our new hut, but it was not mounted during our stay even though they promissed to.

All in all... I recomend it especially inThai realities...

Dear Tom
thank you for your time writing your opinion
its great to hear that you had a very good time in our eco village
our bungalow designed very well to make sure that you have a great time
and inspired by this magnificent plant and nature.
inside the bungalow we close tite as much as we could to make it comfortable .
inside the toilet we kept very small airflow to keep it clean and not muddy.
our bungalow consume less energy about 50% from the stranded room and allow you to have fresh air all time for good relaxation.
what we don't understand that so many of our guests are leaving the ac on when they leave the bungalow to stay on the beach.
if you want our eco concept to work you need to start from your self first ,if we keep every electrical equipment on and go outside the bungalow, then why you choose an eco concept as a place to stay.
we need to be more nature lovers as we can see the changes happings

I spent 5 days at Eco Lodge and I had a truly great experience. The lodge itself is located at a truly beautiful beach great for swimming and to float in the warm water. The lodge is also very centrally located and the nearby town can easily be reached by foot or scooter, which can be rented at the lodge for a cheap price. The lodge is managed and owned by two very friendly and professional guys from Dubai, who are used to the highest hotel standards in the world. As a diver, I especially care for the environment when traveling, which is another reason I chose Eco Lodge. Every bungalow is built entirely from local and renewable materials, mostly bamboo, but sill giving you all the comfort such as air con, warm
shower, very comfortable pocket-spring mattresses, etc. This is a place with a soul, not just a another package tourists standard hotel. Staying here will give you a unique experience and besides you are supporting a sustainable eco-friendly tourism concept. Highly recommended!

This resort is work in the making. The bamboo huts are truly authentic all made out of bamboo. They have made a lot of effort into being Eco friendly. Everyone we met is very laid back !! We thought it was nice but for some people it might be too laid back for them. Everything there and in fact in ko lanta definitely runs on island time - patience and humour will be required. The resort is the only one on that particular beach that actually has tables in the sand on the actual beach and this is because it is such a laid back place we loved that part. My only complaint would be the mini mart - I think he might be a little too relaxed !! even for our standards. The resort is not for those searching modern 4 or 5 star accommodation but if you enjoy peace tranquil and Eco friendly surrounds this is great. Showers work from solar and when sunny great. The banana pancakes at breakfast were to die for. It was a bit higher priced I thought for what it was but it was the week after Xmas. It's also in a great location very close to everything.

Be careful with the booking, they are not reliable. We booked in last minute a bungalow for my family of four. I had the manager on the phone and he said ok the bungalow is for you. Then a few hours later I received an email of apology saying that while he was away his staff booked for another customer. He didn't inform his staff of the booking...!! What a surprising bad organization for a resort!!!
