My experience was very horrible. Unhelpful rude and disrespectful slobs giving me and my girl friend attitude and gave us a bad room for way over the price. Mouldy and buggy rooms with no toilet paper? Basically had to beg them for new towels and room service. Total scam and worst travel experience I've ever had in my life! And on top of that... The a/c didn't work! Dont go there... You'll get ripped off. "0" stars

We paid over 40$ a night for a room with black mould, the water smelled like sewage, shower was so close to the toilet (no wall style), and grime all over the sink/toilet/mirrors. Didn't have toilet paper or soap. I asked to change rooms and the staff rudely moved us into one that was the same, only no visible mould. Asked for toilet paper an she practically chucked it at me. Cannot believe the absurd rates. Sure, it's on a beach... I'd rather walk to any other beach than be ripped off. Didn't sit on the toilet seat my entire stay. Gross!

Well, if you're looking for a super comfortable place with amazing service - this is not it. But it certainly serves the purpose: we got a big sunny room with a/c, a balcony with sea view, beach right under our windows, hot shower with good pressure - all that for 1000baht in peak season (because we stayed for 10 days). Since we needed a room only to sleep in and went to excursions and moped rides around the island most of the times, it didn't bother us that the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. And with so many massage huts and beach bars nearby, we didn't stay in the room much anyway. It was quiet during the night, no noisy clubs/bars directly by the hotel.
The first room we got smelled of mildew very badly, there was something wrong with the water system so the bathroom floor was constantly wet and since there are no tiles in the shower, the walls were always soaked. We got moved to room 201 which was better - bigger balcony and no smell. Keep in mind that everything is shabby, no one will clean your room and change your towels unless you explicitly ask for it, the reception seems to be their living room at the same time, with children's toys everywhere and family members hanging around, there are literally dozens of cats on the property, the lawn and pool area look like they have been neglected for years... The pool doesn't look nice but it is cleaned every day and some of the guests seemed to enjoy it.
The staff were helpful and quick when we asked them to change the room or fix the door lock but I haven't seen a single smile during our entire stay there, no effort at all.
We didn't bother trying the food there, there are plenty of good options on the island.
So, we felt OK with what we got for the money we paid but if you can't stand being in the rooms where the paint is peeling off the walls, where the staff doesn't care about you, where there is garbage on the property lying around for days - find a different place.

Ok, where do I start. I have never wrote a bad review before so I am not too sure how to go about it. We have been roughly budgeting $40 a night while we travelled around south east Asia. And this was at the very top of our budget and what we got for our money was terrible. I will start with the room. Extremely basic, Had a bed and that was about it which somehow managed to squeak when you did something as little as breathe. The bathroom had a hole in the floor for the drain for the shower which also acted as a easy entry point for mosquito's. The shower itself pretty much had next to no pressure about it and we were supplied with 1 roll of paper for 3 nights. I know we could have asked for more but we thought the least that they could do was go around and drop off some toilet paper each morning! They also didn't supply any drinking water. Our "bungalow" was the only one connected to another and the poor bloke had gastro or something and we could literally hear EVERYTHING! The wall was paper I am pretty sure. Also breakfast wasn't included unlike most places so that adds onto the bill per night. Then we move onto the beach. If you are looking for a place to be able to swim then I would avoid it. It is extremely rocky and shallow. I don't know if it's just because we are spoilt for choice back home but it was well below expectations. The staff weren't exactly happy and helpful the whole time unlike other reviews say. They did what they had to but by no means went out of there way to make you feel welcome. The positives were few and far between but I would have to say that the room did have an air con, but it was nearly impossible to adjust it, it seemed no matter what temp you put it on it would either be hot or cold, they did have wifi available but only in the restaurant/bar and if you wanted to use one of there comps it was 1 bht a minute. By far the best thing was the scooters we were able to rent for 250 bht per day as we were able to get out of there and go find much better beaches and dream of places we wish we had stayed! AVOID!!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The restaurant was relaxed and had a very wide choice of menu, at reasonable prices and food good. Plenty of beach bars and restaurants in easy reach. Room comfortable. The only down side was that although we were told our room would be serviced every alternate day, this did not happen at all in the four days we were there.

Room Tip: All rooms are with sea view I think.

The rooms where big and clean. Bathroom was a little disappointing. Toilet couldn't handle flushing two times in a row, the floor wouldn't dry and it was very dark there. But still no such a problem. Had a fridge, AC, view: swimming pool (clean!) sunset and sea.

Good wifi and a restaurant to die for! We tried almost everything on the menu and all was great. Our favorites: banana coconut shake, chicken noodle soup, spring rolls, cashew fried chicken we could go on and on.

Price was reasonable for the room (1700baht) the food was cheap, location was good. Scooters for rent (250baht a day) around the corner ( at "Lanta Palm Beach Tour") so you can explore the whole island.

We'll be back!

We stayed here for 4 nights, the rooms were large & modern our first bathroom smelt of sewerage so we were moved & that was grand. The beach itself isn't very nice, you can't swim due to the rocks, I would maybe consider klong din beach if I were to stay again. All in all it was a fine stay, we rented mopeds no hassle and wifi was strong on the beach bar & restaurant & you woke up to some beautiful views from your balcony but the place appeared to have been taken over by the hotel next door & the staff didnt really seem too fussed about the darawadee buildings, they weren't cleaned our entire stay & in general it felt like a bit of a ghost town like it had just been left. Staff were helpful & friendly though just didn't seem very bothered!!
