we stayed for 4 days and had a great time. we stayed in deluxe rooms which were spacious and had clean linen and ample no of towels. restaurant served really good breakfast , we had most of our other meals also at this restaurant and the food was mostly good. front desk is quite efficient in arranging tours (must go snorkeling to ko rok). scooter rental from hotel was convenient and cost effective. electric kettle and fridge are available on request. swimming pool was really beautiful had separate child pool which our 4 yr old son thoroughly enjoyed! lack of telephone in the rooms is an inconvenience since the hotel is quite spreadout. beach is quite secluded but it's rocky (we were disappointed since we were coming from beautiful karon, phuket!) . spa at hotel is ok but expensive. we had cheaper and better massages in Bangkok. overall a great experience.

This hotel is to the quieter end of Ko Lanta. Good sized bungalows and rooms stretch down to the beach and beachside restaurant that overlooks the sea. Good pool. What you would expect really. The rooms are comfortable. There is one other lower priced resort on the beach that offers an alternative eating venue. At the far end is a great place to watch the sunset (the Sunset Bar no less). The beach is beautiful, if a little rocky in parts for swimming. What makes the resort special is the staff. We travelled with 2 babies under 2 and the waiters and waitresses were so helpful even by Thai standards. Families seem to appreciate this and there are a fair few families, particularly German, who were here at the same time a us. If you wanted a quiet stay by the pool you might be disappointed though. Few criticisms but in our delux there was no bath only a shower (fine for us) and no safe (having had stuff stolen in other places this was inconvenient and we used the lockers by the hotel lobby a lot instead). There was no kettle which we wanted for sterilising water but they provided one when we asked. Also no fridge but a couple who arrived father us specifically asked and were given one. All in all a great place to stay. Wonderful people.

Room Tip: Ask for connecting rooms well in advance if you need them.

We stayed here for 4 nights and have nothing bad to say about it at all!

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Deluxe room for the first night and were upgraded to a Deluxe Seaview room for the remaining nights for no additional cost.

Both rooms were pleasant and with modern decor. The linen was clean and did not appear 'used'. The beds were huge and comfortable.

The restaurant served a good range of food, albeit slightly overpriced (but this was common throughout the island). Breakfast was a buffet, with a good range of local and western food.

It is located at the end of Klong Jark beach so you don't get people walking across your part of the beach. The beach itself was quite rocky in this region however this made it possible to see some fish and coral if snorkelling.

.... This is my second stay at Anda Lanta. I returned for the great location away from the crowds; the lovely and quiet beach and the nice beachfront bungalows. This is still the case. But last year the rate for a beachfront bungalow 6800 Baht which is already quite expensive - but this year the rate has increased to 8900 baht. This is far too expensive for what you get. But if you can negotiate a better price - then Anda Lanta is still a very good choice in Ko Lanta. That is if you want to escape the crowds.

In the last month we and three other couples, were staying at the Anda Lanta for a week, and all of us found the resort very enjoyable.
The rooms (standard) were very nice, the service was quite efficient and the whole staff was always very helpful.
We chose the Anda Lanta because its location, far from the crowd, gives to us the peace that we were looking for.
Well, maybe we have exaggerated a little bit. In fact the hotel is quite far from any place.
We spent at least 30 minutes, by car, to reach Salang, the main village on the island...!
Nevertheless there are many things to do in a stay at the Anda Lanta...!
Beyond the many organized tours that usually people do in these places, and as an alternative to the excellent Anda Lanta´s bar, you can go to one of the two others small resorts, close the hotel, where you can drink or eat at incredible low prices...
But, please don't forget to walk to the end of the beach and enjoy the sunset, seated in the small restaurant that exists in this place. And if you have lucky, maybe you can enjoy a sea bath with some elephants...!!!
In short, enjoy Anda Lanta as much as we did.

We stayed at the Anda Lanta for 3 nights in the middle of February 2012. The resort is located at the very south end of Koh Lanta, actually on the second last bay. It is a 40 minute drive from the ferry at Saladan. The resort offers free pickup when checking in. Being far away from the tourist areas it is quiet and a nice place to relax. A complimentary plate of fresh fruit was delivered to the room when we checked in.

We stayed in a beach front second story room that had a great view. The room was modern with a comfortable king bed, good A/C, room darkening curtains, small fridge, free WiFi and in room safe.

The beach front restaurant had a good complimentary breakfast with fruit, hot items and egg station. Dinner was very good. The massages were very good as well. There are a couple of other restaurants and bars close by on the beach. They were less expensive but more rustic than the Anda Lanta's. The pool was well maintained and was well used by families with children. One nice touch was a staff member with a flash light was available to escort us back to the room at night. The lobby had computers available for guest's use.

Our only issue was when we wanted to take a taxi one day, the hotel's vehicle was booked, as was their alternate taxi. They were unable to call another taxi for us. We had to walk out of the resort to a travel agent across the road to get a taxi. Not a big deal, but something that could be improved.
