We stayed here from 5th November 2011 to 13th. Located towards the South of Koh Lanta, this hotel (which consists only of seperate bungalows) is located on its own beach. Everything about this place was great. The welcome was warm and genuine. Our bungalow was stylish, clean and comfortable. The restaurant had a great variety of delicious and cheap Thai food, with some western options too. The beach was quiet and clean with a wonderful warm and gentle sea. My favourite thing about the place was the staff, who were so genuine and friendly, helpful, thoughtful and unobtrusive. I felt like there was good value for money, and the resort has completely resisted adding on those annoying extras (so free kayaks, free snorkels, no extras for staying in the room longer on our day of departure) and the general atmosphere of the place was warm and welcoming.

It was quiet when we were there, but not all bugalows were occupied. Even in high season I think it would be a quiet place to stay, so it depends what you are after from a holiday. It completely suited me, but may not be the place to head if partying is your holiday plan.

We stayed here in early November 2010, just before the start of the busy season, 2 adults and 2 children 2yo and under 1yo. We spent one week there, then were supposed to stay in Krabi for a second week. We ended up going back to Anda Lanta after one day in Krabi, as it just couldn't compare.
We had a beach front cottage, which worked perfectly for us. It is one large -very large- room with large ensuite, with plenty of space for a king bed, a single bed (a day bed transformed) and a cot (provided), and lots more space to move around. The Tv and DVD (free DVD rental at reception) were useful for rainy days.
The pool overlooks the beach and the hotel provides lots of water toys too. Also provided are canoes.
The staff were brilliant, within days they new us all by name, they were brilliant with teh children, entertaining them after they had finished their dinner and we were still having ours. The food is splendid as you would expect in Thailand, and here it is also a bit upmarket. The chef produced dishes specificially for our kids. There are two other places to eat on this stretch of beach, catering for tighter budgets, both on the beach (also worth visting).
We used the babysitting service so we could go on excursions some afternoons and each time we had the same staff taking care of our children And they loved her (Gobi!) ! The quality of everything was excellent, the cleanliness was superb (I mean, they even removed loose hair from my hairbrush, and folded loose plastic bags in origami!!). And always sooo friendly.

Highly recommended. This place is a bit more secluded than others (just the way we like it), but there are two other beach restaurants within 5 min walking distance. And the island is small, and easy to get around (just rent an motorbike or call a taxi).

We couldn't improve on it, it was just perfect and still laidback.

The review is slightly late as we stayed in room112??? its the second from last villa on the beach back in march 2011. After much research on TA and the internet, Andalanta won our vote and we were not dissappointed.....

From the time we arrived till we left 5 days later we had the most relaxing time of our thailand trip. The staff here are attentive and friendly and put you at ease from the offset....
i can honesstly say i would write a list of pros ans cons if i could but it would just be pros as this place is perfect!! It runs like clockwork but in a very relaxed fashion. Everything from our room to the staff, the food to the scenery was perfect.....

Thank you Andalanta staff.........we will be back!! xx

Despite travelling almost all day from Europe it was worth our time and money. We found quiet resort with only few tourists, clean beach ,tasty food.We spent 10 nights in Deluxe Sea View 503 with balcony with beautifull view on all beach, aircondition, bathroom with big shower and clean toilet.Staff is very friendly, reception staff speaks well English, restaurant staff it is not so good in English but we always got what we wanted.Garden is spacious ,later we rent a resort motorcycle and explore the island(Old Lanta Sunday market was great tasting rambutans,pineapple,durian....,National Park with bathing monkeys,Kantiang bay drinks in bar over the beach....,Sunset Point Bar on a cliff with amazing sunset and great drinks.....) Everything is close ,roads are good only few hundreds meters around the resort are bumpy .What we appreciated most was we had beaches only for us,snorkelling at resort beach with corals, colourfull fish, shells, bathing with elephants in the sea.....Every morning room was cleaned very well with flowers on the bed, clean towels. We left one day earlier no problem wi didnt have to pay penalty. We relaxed perfectly and massages were out of this world thank You Lulu and other lady was great too.We enjoyed nice evening programme they prepared on Songkran Festival.I found very usefull Lonely Planet book -Thailand I found at resort library.Thank You Anda Lanta.

I'd spent a good few hours checking out reviews on Trip Advisor and Anda Lanta seemed to get consistantly good reviews (particularly from families with young kids) so splashed out a fair bit of dosh on this hol (flight and resort) but was still a bit apprehensive about whether it was going to be worth it. Needn't have worried - had a fantastic two week stay at Anda Lanta - excellent in every respect (although we did go during end-of season April when it was pretty quiet and not at all crowded). Amazing service/attention to detail, incredibly clean, friendly & trustworthy staff and a great room (with wi-fi). All the accommodation is discreetly laid out amongst the trees and plants - which affords privacy and feels very relaxing. Great restaurant - ate here most nights even though the prices were at the higher end (tried a couple of slightly cheaper nearby restaurants but Anda Lanta got our vote). The pool is a real highlight - spacious and child-friendly in a beautiful setting - our 5-year actually learnt to swim in it. Lovely quiet beach with natural all-day shady spots from over-hanging trees and a completely relaxing well-equipped spa area offering the full suite of massages (ask for Lulu!) and assorted pampering. Would definitely go again - people we met there said much the same and some even reorganised their trip to spend more time at Anda Lanta. All-up a top-notch hol for families with young kids or couples wanting a bit of quiet luxurious relaxation. Relatively pricey but in this case you get what you pay for...

First time we stayed at Anda Lanta was in 2008 and we had the best time there. Therefore, there was no doubt in our mind that we had to come back. Our expectations were high, but fortunately we were not disappointed. Anda Lanta is still a fantastic place. Friendly staff, very clean, excellent food, superb service, good facilitilies (incl the pool)and the most beautiful surroundings with a great beach.

It is ideal for those people that wants a beautiful place away from the crowd. It is very children friendly, but also a great hide-away for non-family travellers.

Thank you so much Anda Lanta - we hope to see you soon again.
