There is so much that is good about this hotel but some areas could be so much better. We stayed for two weeks at Twin Lotus much of it on the comfy sun beds with a plentiful supply of towels on the beautiful beach.

We arrived off the ferry boat hot and sweaty to be given an ice cold mint infused towel on check in - lovely! The infinity pool is gorgeous and there is a lovely second garden pool, close to the garden rooms. We had a superior room in a block but if you push the boat out you could have a beachside villa. They are lovely but wouldn't have wanted the ones facing the swamp. A semi dry canal that filled up a bit when it rained at night but mainly still water and a bit smelly. Room was really well equipped, Good wifi everywhere even on the beach and 4 bottles water every day decent TV with English speaking film channel. Next to the restaurant is a huge seating area with cushions and couches to relax out of the sun and a small library but few English books. Surprising as there are lots of English guests.
Air con has remote which was handy. Beds huge and really comfortable. Where they need to up their game is service. Breakfast got quite boring and some staff less than enthusiastic about providing tea or coffee when you sit down. Most of the food is covered but the omelette area when not attended was a haven for birds coming in and eating the ingredients! Generally the catering could be improved. In 2 weeks we were only approached once while on the beach about ordering a drink and yet when they did, lots of guests ordered. Missing a trick there! Obviously more expensive than the local bars/ restaurants and not great so slip off your shoes and wander down the beach for a great fish meal or a sunset cocktail nearby. One more thing Twin Lotus; get some more music!! After hearing the same jazz CD at breakfast and dinner over several days we asked them to change the music only to be told they only have the one! And in the Barracuda beach bar we mostly heard Norah Jones so I guess they only have the one CD too!

Was greeted on arrival to the hotel by a golf buggy which took us to a beautiful outside reception area where a hot towel and refreshment was waiting. Our room was upgraded to a beach front villa which was a perfect location situated next to a great infinity swimming pool and bar.

The food and drink is a bit expensive for Thailand and not fantastic, however the staff make up for this as they are friendly and funny.

Free bicycle and kayaks are available if you wish to venture. We also hired a motor ped from reception for 250- a day, great way to see the island.

Eating in Koh Lanta is hit and miss. I would highly recommend "Patty's secret Garden" ran by friendly englishman Julian and the restaurant just around the corner from the Twin Lotus resort (you cant miss it).

Although i didn't use the massage and gymnasium facilities they looked impressive.

Booking through asiadirect will get you a 30min free massage!

I would 100% stay here again!

We spent in Twin Lotus resort over one week and really liked our stay there. Hotel staff were very friendly, the location of resort was good for us (you can borrow bicycles free from the hotel). We rented a moped (250baht/day) and it was very easy to drive because there was not too much trafic. Breakfast was good, there could be more different fruits, beans... but nothing to complain.

Room Tip: Rent a moped or bike from the hotel.

Amazing. ALL the staff were so lovely, helpful and most of all very friendly. Por in the restaurant and Bea (sorry for spelling!) in the spa were particularly lovely and definitely helped to make my stay!

Free upgrade into a villa which was fab (bed was v comfy and had lovely pillows!), 1min walk to breakfast, the main pool, beach and bar. Kayaks and bikes can be borrowed for free, mopeds are 250baht for 24hrs. Lanta was very quiet in comparison to other places I've been so I hired a moped for the first time.

Extended my stay but rebooked through asiaweb as it was cheaper than going direct (also got a free massage thrown in) was left in the same room though which was good. Free wifi everywhere, didn't work in the villa to begin with but this was sorted. Breakfast has everything - English, continental, thai. So much food! The restaurant food wasn't as good though- it was ok but not five star. Room service has no extra charge. HBO on the TV for if/when you want to watch a film.

Very relaxing stay, didn't want to leave and would happily return.

Excellent resort, top marks to the staff here for a great stay and not forgetting our travel agent Andaman Sky, who put this place together with resorts on Phuket and near Ao Nang create an itinerary that we were very happy with. The Twin Lotus is a top class resort in a great location offering excellent visuals, high service standards and pleasing archirecture. I recommend it to other holiday-makers.
