This Lanta resort was the first stop on our Andaman Sky holiday, which took in Ao Nang and Phuket too. The RawiWarin is a good resort for children, there is plenty of space and amenities, the beach isn’t much to write home about but the pool is a good one – big and interesting design for children too. Service was pretty good, food reasonably priced if not gourmet standard, breakfast had lots of variety. All in all, this was a good resort and we would stay here again – though probably only if Pimalai, our first choice this time which was full, was full again.

Perfect for us after 2 nights in phi phi. Koh lanta was perfect for us to chill our and sunbathe and read whilst looking out at beautiful beach! Free wi fi, always a bonus to skype home, and lovely food. We were bed and breakfast but ate dinner a couple of nights in the hotel or on the beach. Food was lovely. Service a little slow but we were in no rush so weren't affected by it.
Be prepared to walk up several steps - strongly advisable for beautiful views off your balcony!

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to stay up high and challenge the steps the views are more than worth it!

Although we stayed in the stunning Resort Rawi Warin Koh Lanta itself was peaceful with beautiful quiet beaches and fabulous local food. On to the resort if you wasn't keen on venturing out of the complex don't worry it still has everything from; fabulous food, ace swimming pools for couples and families with a little children's slide, a wide stretch of beach with a pontoon and the most beautiful sunsets, spa and massage, sports and vehicle hire.
I'm sure I could go on, but I'd rather not spoil all the fun of this resort and the Island as it is one to definitely be explored.
In the evenings we would be served by the wonderful staff jinnessa, kwang, goong, nina, aira, and lek. These staff in particular made our stay worth while, infact I really miss all of them and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: I can't account for all the different rooms, but we stayed in a balcony beach view double room...

We stayed for a week in February and had a relaxing and good time, but considering their prices there needed to be a few tweaks to make it better. I understand there is no general manager at present but hope our comments are used to raise the hotels standards to the 5* they suggest.

We stayed in a sea view villa. Spacious and relatively clean. I did feel the room lacked soul. I really liked the hotel reception area design and furnishings but this didn't reflect in the rooms. Perhaps something more ornate for the headboard or a painting on the wall?

Toiletries were never replaced until we asked so we ended up writing notes for housekeeping! They also never tidied the balcony e.g empty ashtray. There wasn't a soap dish or any hooks for hand towels which are little things but help to ease frustrations. The slippers seemed to have been washed and used which I've never experienced before. I also thought there was no special personalised touches like a note or flower or chocolate on your pillow for turndown (which also doesn't happen). The room phone was from the 80s and some of the buttons didn't work. In contrast the phone in the toilet was new and fine!

There are plenty of sun loungers but they block the infinity pool view which was odd and definitely made it feel less classy. Pool bar did not offer free water only Evian even though rooms have it. Most 5* hotels offer free water and even little shots of juices or treats poolside. You were left to your own devices which was fine for us.

We were actually forgotten at the airport on our arrival too. Clearly poor communication between the sales office and front desk. The sales office had been very helpful and efficient so this was a real shame.

Front desk staff were all really helpful. Really enjoyed having a chat with Susie who was well informed and friendly. I also found the young female manager at reception (I can't remember her name but she had a gorgeous little son) really friendly. She was incredibly warm and genuine in all our exchanges.

Overall we did have A good stay but felt a few little things could make it a 5*. I would suggest the manager visiting other independent 5* hotels in Thailand e.g we stayed at The Shore and Baray Villa in Phuket last year (both amazing properties and service). The hotel is definitely working hard to improve itself and I hope it reaches it potential

What a pleasant surprise when we arrived and the actual hotel looked exactly like the pictures!
Pleasant staff, clean! We'll kept grounds and an excellent pool area.
A special thank you to our housekeeper Sow who made sure that we had everything we could possibly need in our room and kept it impeccably clean.

Started to be bit worried after reading all these negative reviews from TripAdvisor before our trip. Luckily negative reviews were highly exaggerated.

We stayed at Rawi Warin for 4 nights in the end of February 2014. We had booked Pond Room for 2 adults and 2 kids after reading that the other rooms are way up in the hills. This was good decission. Pond Rooms are in the ground floor with good access to the pool and beach area. Room was clean and nice, but bit smallish for our party.

Resort is really well kept and beautiful. The laguna in the middle is really well kept and flush gardens around it makes the resort really idyllic.

Good and friendly service, english is well spoken. Breakfast is superb.

Location is really, really nice. There are good beach restaurants just a 1 km away from the hotel. If you are not in to a evening walks, you can get a tuktuk with a 100 thb. We did not dine at the resort, as there were so many nice restaurants near by.

My only disappointment was the bike rental. Resort tells, that you can hire a bike. Well, this is true. Sort of. I had high expectations that I could do some cycling exercise at Lanta. Well, one of a exercise it was... All bikes are heavily outdated and needs maintenance. There I was in my Lycra doing climb training with an old asian bike that was built late 70s. What a sight.

Resort organizes day trips and transportation. We however booked our daytrips from a travel agency that is just next to the 7eleven outside of the hotel. The lady who helds the Travel Agency is really helpful and was able to find all trips accordingly to our needs. I did not recall the name of the travel agency, which is pitty as the service was really good and helpful.

Yes, the hotel is expensive. The resort and services are good. You would expect more spacious room with that amount of money, but the overall rating is "just excellent". I can highly recommend this hotel to families and honeymooners.

Stayed at this resort for 4 nights recently. We had a great in experience which started on a high with meeting Susie at Check In. Susie was very professional and extremely helpful throughout our stay! Great views of the sunset at the pool. We had a very relaxing time and would certainly go again!
