Rawi Warin Spa - It's hard to sum this place up with words and until you are there pictures do not truly do it justice. I stayed here with my girlfriend for three days over Christmas and, having travelled far and wide, can honestly say this is the nicest resort I have ever stayed in.

Considering how big the resort is the first thing you notice is just how well maintained the place is. From the room to the public areas literally immaculate. We had a lovely room overlooking the sea but regardless what room you get you won't be disappointed the views seemed to be fantastic from all around the resort.

Extremely friendly staff with a mixture of western employees and Thai (who speak fantastic English) employees all of which we found to be very pleasant. The room service and pool side bar service was very good and the food was prompt and cooked well.

In my opinion the spa was extremely overpriced and, considering there was a small massage and therapy shop set up 20m from the resort, on the beach and very cheap, we were never going to use the resorts spa. Nonetheless I'm sure the spa would be a good experience however we just never chose it.

The infinity pool and the pontoon just adds to what is an incredible experience. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better resort, especially at such a special time. If your budget can stretch it, definitely stay here!

We have now had 2 wonderful winter vacations in 2013 (January) and 2014 (February) at Rawi Warin. The resort is wonderful have everything what the heart can ask for (from nice rooms, library, cinema, computer, pool, spa and a nice and quiet beach), but the most important is the EXCELLENT staff you meet everywhere, who gives you FANTASTIC memories with you back to your own country and who is the reason why you absolutely need to come back to this wonderful place.
The following employees made our vacation unforgettable:
We would like to give a specific thanks to Aira, Jinesssa for their always positive and helpful attitude, perfect customer approach and their excellent English skills.
Also a great thanks to Lek, Goong, Lola, Kwana and Nina also for their very positive customer approach, very helpful attitude and great smiles which met us everywhere.

Room Tip: Rooms at the top are very quiet and we had a balcony from where we could view the sea and see the su...

My wife and I stayed at the Rawi Warin Hotel for 7 days and just arrived back this afternoon to Bangkok.

I would say that Rawi Warin is definitely a great hotel but there are some areas in which they can improve for me to rate it 5/5.

We stayed in a Sea View Villa, room 508. A good balance of being high on the hill but not too high that its hard to walk up to. We only took the free transport once, the rest of the time we walked.

I thought the key positives of the hotel were great rooms with terrace, service and staff were friendly and service was quick contrary to some reviews, the breakfast was excellent with bacon being nicely crisp, amazing pool, and overall placement of the hotel on Khlong Nin which has the majority of cool bars and good restaurants (walking distance).

Negatives would be the overpriced cocktails. 7/11 is just across the street and we bought beers from there... The fitness room was sub par and could be updated. The biggest negative is the beach but they did make a "sea pool" which helps... Lots of rocks and small sand area. In any case no matter what hotel you stay at I would recommend going to Thai Cat, Lym's rice bowl, or "somewhere else" as they have chilled out bungalows that you can stay at all day (and have great food - top 10 on trip advisor).

Enjoy! :)

Stayed at Rawi Warin on 10 - 13 Feb. Room 655.
Journey to resort took about 2 hours from Krabi Airport by private chartered van from resort (THB3400 per journey). Although they MOV is spacious and very comforrtable (Hyundai Grand Starex VIP). Have to board ferry to cross the island (Koh Lanta) twice. Each ferrying time around 20- 30mins.

Was assigned room 655. Up the hill. Partly facing sea. Room was good with private balcony, king sized bed, air conditioning, and free wifi. Clealiness was acceptable. Equipments and ammenities was acceptable. Wifi is only good for reading mails and not really for download anything as the connection speed was low.

Breakfast is provided. Acceptable with main dishes around 4 - 6 (rice, bacon, sausages, meat). Other than that was bread, cakes & fruits.

The O3 Ozone Pool is clean and fun. Lacking of children wading pool. Most visitors only sun bath around it. Doesnt really swim. Childrens or kids will be a bit bored. No special children wading pool or playground.

The ocean pool. Interesting for those who want to venture swimming at the sea.

Had bad experience on the 11th Feb from 9am to 5pm. The whole resort is without electricity. Children cried for hours couldnt sleep due to heat. No prior notice given. The management have failed its duty. Felt very annoyed and angry.

No sea activities like canoeing, speedboat, banana boat, parasailing, etc. The beach area was totally quiet.

Overall.
- suitable only for those matured couple who want a relax place (leterally relax) because you really have nothing to do there.
- outside the resort you have nothing. Just a few mediore seafood stall/shop. It is like in the middle of a suburb village.
- things were quite expensive inside the resort. Example: a can of Chang beer bought from 7Eleven cost THB35 and the resort charged THB100. Dinner for 2 at the Watermark Restaurant cost THB1400 (simple 2 main dishes).

For those who venture totally relax resort, this will be it. For those who want mix activities resort and relax, avoid it and go Phuket better.

We stayed one week at this resort and were pleased with everything. Even though we got the last room and the one with the worst view, we were happy to stay in the resort. The breakfast was excellent with the great variety of western and asian foods. Good nice and enouhg service and the garden area was beautiful. The infinity pool was the best!

Exellent hotell and hotell area was great. At first day we didn´t get hot water but it was fixed very quickly. It was quite difficult to use the stairs of the seawaterpool. Best of all was the service and the stuff, especially two lovely cousins, Aira (Auntie Mae´s Bakery) and Jinessa (at breakfasts). They were the most hearty and took care of us so well. We get two good new friends.

Room Tip: Beds were a little bit hard at first, but we get used to them. We had a great wiew from room 8xx. Up...
