My family and I found Lanta Island resort exceeded our expectations. The rooms were a good size and the resort was very clean.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food seved was of a good quality.
The location is in the middle of the bay, so good for exploring in either direction, plenty of other restaurant and bar options.
My husband was pleased with the driving range found just over the road from the resort and I was pleased with the on site massage.

Room Tip: Our family had a deluxe bungalow and we had the beach front no major differences apart from 40m and we had a tv.

Lanta island resort is not a very luxurious resort but it has all the things we needed, we stayed their for a 2 week dive holiday with the dive operator located in the resort. The resort has german owners which was noticeable in the restaurant next to the thai food also some german specialties and great german beer. The resort is next to the beach and has a nice swimming pool.
While we were their is was raining a lot so a lot of moisture everywhere ( it is thailand) rooms were also a little bit humid sometimes. Room have ac and hot shower and fridges.
For its price not bad at all, only thing for improvement is that there are small very slippery tiles put in the concrete pave-ways (great to hit your foot when you slip with your flipflops)

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lanta Island Resort. We extended our stay from 2 nights to 4 nights. The location is great, right on the beach close to lots of restaurants and bars, bakeries, pharmacies, bookshop, 7/11 etc.

Our room (deluxe bungalow) was clean and tidy, serviced daily, beautiful beach, nice pool and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception staff booked day trips etc for us and helped arrange accommodation and transport in phuket (our next stop).

Note, they do charge a 50 baht hire fee for beach towels for the duration of your stay which, although it is not expensive, we found a little odd as other cheaper hotels offer beach towels for free.

We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed 2 nights in Lanta Island resort. Our room was OK, clean and no mosquitos or gekkos inside. Location is great. The hotel is on the beach and the bungalows are in "garden". Pool is ok.
Saladan villege and harbiur are both just near by.
Rent a moto/scooter and just ride around. In south views are awesome, national park etc.
Koh Lanta is a paradise!

Room Tip: Take standart or superior bungalows. Our standart room was near by the pool and it was nice&clean.

We spent a Bad night, lot of mosquitoes in the bungalow, very bad isolated, some gecko, cockroaches.
The interior seems more old than my grandmother, everything was falling in piece. Air conditioning was ok, probably the only thing in the room that was. The room doesn't seems to have seen the light of day since an eternity, the sheets give a moisty feeling.
A horrible night.
But to be fair i will said we find the crew of the resort very sympathic, the thai lady was very very nice with us, same for the crew, and the common part of the resort is clean and quite. But the price for what we had was the price for a bad bungalow on phi phi...
