Go there for a regular restaurant visit or cook your own food! Pick whatever you want to make from the menu and book a time to do it. Price of cooking class is price of dish from the menu + 300 THB per dish. Much cheaper than the other cooking schools on the island...

After travelling through the wohle country and having tasted all kinds of thai specialties, we stopped in Koh Lanta. Unfortunately it was low season and the place was like a morgue. Walking down the empty streets - hungry and desperately - we saw this cute little place called Kwan's cookery. Everyone welcomed us very friendly and we ended up having the best thai food during our stay. Not only was Kwan the sweetest host we've ever met but you can also easily see that she puts her heart and soul into her work.
She also offers cooking classes for a low budget which we can highly recommend.

Thanks for the great two days - we're looking forward to see you and your husband in Basel in spring !
Greetings from Germany

Anne, Selina and Susanne

Kwan's was just opposite the hotel we were staying in and when we arrived after looking on trip advisor and seeing number 3 was two minutes away we headed over for a late lunch. The restaurant wasn't open until 5 but Kwan the owner was sat having her lunch, to which she invited us over. She brought us rice to share with her fried fish, chili jam, duck eggs etc to share her 'true thai lunch', everything was fresh, authentic and delicious. We had a lovely chat with her and afterwards, when trying to pay, she said she wouldn't accept the money as it was from her heart!
Obviously we returned to this lovely place for dinner to sample the real menu, and we were not disappointed! The mango lassies were delicious, the prawns in the panaeng curry huge and fresh, the khao soy specialty noodles from chiang mai were delicious. We got great appetisers, and a free souvenir to take home with us, and left feeling super satisfied, feeling like we definitely hadn't paid enough for the excellent experience we had had that day. Definitely worth visiting to meet the beautiful Kwan and taste freshly made thai food. And one of the few places open in low season! - luckily for us it was the best place!
