“Clear waters, amazing sand”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

I liked this beach; it was my favourite of all the beaches we visited in Koh Lanta. It's a bit far off (depending where you stay I guess; we stayed near Klong Dao beach). It's a small (relative to the other beaches) stretch of beach, probably good for couples.

“a rocky path that pays off”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

on our way back from the nationalpark to the north of the island we saw the sign of nui bay in the djungle and we stopped our scooters like some other before us in the middle of nowehere and took per feet the trail down the steepcoast to the haad nui. the nui beach is the smallest beach we visited during our stay on koh lanta, but maybe haad nui is the nicest beach of the whole island, but it is not so easy to find and not so many tourists were on this place. we stayed for a few hours to relax and swim in the warm water and only a few people were around the whole area.
because we didn´t know we brought our drinks with us, but there is also a beachbar with a big offer of drinks and snacks. the beach is not so big and the water was crystalclear, because we had a very sunny and windless day. during our whole stay at nui beach the atmosphere was very quiet and comfortable. there are no resorts on nui bay and normally the visitors arrive with a rented scooter at nui bay. the parking area is on the top beside the djungleroad.
we can recomment haad nui very much and we are sure that we will visit again next time on koh lanta.

“Worth the hassle?”
Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

So off we went... We'd been told it was the Best of all beaches in Phuket: so quiet, private, awesome. So perfect, they'd even charge you a fee to get in. expectations were high...
It's quite a walk to reach it. Not that far, but steep. Downwards and manageable. And we made it: sweaty as if we'd already been in the water. So we get there, ready to dive in - and the place is utterly deserted. Empty. It looks as if everyone just up and left. And left loads of rubbish as well. Furthermore, the waves were high, undercurrent VERY strong, so the swimming was no good either.
And then we had the steep walk UP to get back. Beautiful views - but not worth the hassle.

“Simply beautiful”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

What I loved about Nui Beach is there's nothing there! Just white sand and good swimming with jungle vegetation tumbling down from the cliffs. "Robinson's" beach bar is abandoned - as if from a film set about pirates and castaways. The sea is clean and clear here and where in other bays on Koh Lanta there may be rocks to spoil your swimming at Nui Bay that isn't a problem. I am pleased that it isn't very well signposted as this seems to keep geographically challenged visitors away. Essentially I had the whole beach to myself the afternoon I was there and felt like Robinson Crusoe for a while - but certainly with no need for a Man Friday! Or is that homophobic?
