“Beautiful Resort”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

Beautiful resort still being built while we were there but didn’t interfere with our stay. Great staff, very helpful with hiring scooter from them at 200 baht for 24 hours (helmets included). Also helped us organise a transfer to Krabi international airport for only 300 baht each. We ate one meal at the restaurant, took awhile to get service but the meal was delicious and drinks good. Very clean bathrooms next to the restaurant also, nice view of sunset. Beach good to walk on but hard to swim in due to rocks but the pool was great to cool off on. Rooms were lovely, really comfortable bed, with great airconditioning. Had water shut off once while we there but was back within 30 minutes. Room wasn’t serviced on our second day but new towels, two more water bottles were put by the front door, actually prefer this. Worth hiring a scooter to see Ko Lanta as there isn’t really much other transport. Highly recommend staying at Coco Lanta, one of the most relaxing nicest places we have stayed at in the Andaman sea.

The rooms were not big but still a lot of storage places and very new! AC, Wifi and the shower worked perfect.

A huge plus is their swimming pool with a nice view to the ocean. The beach of the resort is very rocky so we decided to drive to Long Beach for one day. We paid about 100 THB for one way - but if you are able and willing to drive a motorcycle we would recommend this.

The only problem we had was that there is no shadow at all at the pool.

The beach bar of the resort is also very nice and offers good food. But if you stay at Coco Lanta you should also check out Kwans Cookery just opposite the street.

Recommended this place by a friend and was not disappointed. Firstly, the reception staff were brill. Her English was fantastic. The eco rooms were little self contained rooms with everything you could possible want for and ours was right on the beach opposite the bar and the pool. Super clean, gorgeous, breathtaking views. The bar service was good and had the best chicken wings I've ever tasted.

It was off season so super quiet but that all added to the relaxing. Hired a couple of bikes from the hotel which were great value for money and a must on the island.

The pool was lovely had a massage in the hut on the beach, which I think was part of the resort which was great. It's just off the main street which has easy access to shops and it looked like they were building a handy 7/11 right next door to reception!

Extremely good value for money. Definitely, definitely recommend this place.

This is a cute little place, much friendlier than the big resorts and a lot cheaper. The bungalow was small but big enough for us, and simple but quite clean.
The resort will be a beautiful spot once the garden is established. The pool was nice and the restaurant wasn't bad. The staff were so nice and helpful.
The location is great - a short walk will take you to lots of nice bars and restaurants, most of them happy to cater for vegetarians. The vibe of this beach is very quiet, laid-back and friendly. The only problem is that the beach can be quite rocky when the tide is out so we rented a scooter and visited the other beautiful beaches on Koh Lanta.
Would definitely stay here again if we go back to Lanta.

A friend and I stayed at Coco and had a lovely experience. The room is spotless with a lovely bed and bathroom. The bedroom was cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets. The restaurant on the resort offers a variety of food and drinks and the staff are friendly. The main receptionist speaks brilliant English and was very helpful. The beach is literally a 5 second walk and is very nice but because of the low season the water was quite muggy and the beach a little dirty. If you want a relaxing time it is the place to go as there is nobody there. We also tried the restaurant across the road which is a family run cooking business. They were so welcoming and the food was lovely. They gave us a lot of free food to try and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Overall, a lovely stay and would definitely go back.

Chose to stay at Coco after personally visiting 2 or 3 other places on the island in the same price range. Coco was the newest, cutest and cleanest of all places in the price range and by far had the best staff/service. Probably the best on the island and by far the best service we received in all of Thailand!

The bungalow's are cozy (there isn't room to spare but they don't feel cramped) with spacious, clean bathrooms and a separated shower. At the time of our stay, each bungalow had a TV, fridge, AC and little, private porch and sitting hammock out front. All are a few second walk from the beach. Coco has a good restaurant and bar (with all kinds of fun drinks) that stays open all day and reasonably late at night. Vibe is chill - making all feel welcome. We enjoyed the infinity pool beside the beach.

Only downside is resort is located on a "rock" beach. There is still sand to sit/lay on if you desire but the waters are too rocky for swimming except at the highest of tides. (The pool was a fine alternative for that though).

Coco is located about mid-island - 1/2 way between the over-crowded northern beaches and the tropical southern tip. It's a quick moto ride from the popular north and right across the street from an excellent Thai restaurant called Qwans. There is a convenience shop on the corner of the driveway that can solve any snack craving and a travel agent right next door for those needing boat tickets or tour assistance.

If you don't want to deal with tour company's, you can book things through Coco too. The Coco staff is also very knowledgeable about your options and prices and, unlike pretty much any other guest house I've delt with my in SE Asia travels, if you can get something cheaper outside of Coco, the staff will tell you (we were informed we could buy a boat ticket to Phi Phi to Coco for 400 BHT, but if we went to a travel agent, we could get it for 350).

If that's not impressive enough, one of the owners, Att, was so wonderful that she gave us rides in her own car when we needed a lift from the boat pier and then again when we had dropped off our moto at a place that was many, many kilometers from Coco.

We loved coco so much we stayed there not once but twice during our time in S. Thailand, totaling 4 nights. (We left Coco to visit Phi Phi. Coco stored our bags for us while gone and even moved them to our new room and turned on the AC for us about 30 mins before our return!)

Owned by a brother, sister duo, Coco was just built in 2012 and had opened in Nov. 2012. (the new places are always the way to go!) They were working on some new bungalows when we were there (for families looking for a place to stay).

If ever back in Koh Lanta, we will def. stay here again. I recommend it to EVERYONE.

A huge thanks to Att and all at Coco for making our stay on Koh Lanta so wonderful!!

Booked a place called banana garden and day before arriving on island they emails cancelling me
In desperation I went on booking. com and rebooked this place
Got to krabi and got on a long minivan journey that took forever and arrived here to what looked like a building site
I was sorely peed off on arrival but upon seeing my bungalow was amazed coolest place I have ever seen or stayed
Scenery amazing hammocks so cool
Beach divine
Tried breakfast in resort and was ok but mostly aye out as food here quite expensive compared to lots of other places
Shop just outside resort really cheap and does laundry
Did hire scooter for my stay here from reception and was cheaper than elsewhere
A terrific place to stay absolutely beautiful a cheap bit of luxury our week here cost less than £140
Would love to go back and would defo book coco again missing it already
