“If you need a "western" food hit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012 via mobile

This German bakery just provided me with the comfort foods I was looking forward to eating after 6 weeks of Thai.
Great tasting/looking variety bread rolls, croissants (plain and chocolate) bread (on the day I was there they only had rye)
Ciabatta, a pretzel looking roll and .... Cakes and slices for if you really want to treat yourself!
Salami, ham, cheese it's all there on the menu including good strong coffee, a variety of teas as well as shakes etc.
And sugar free home made yoghurt (my take away!)
I ate too much and enjoyed every bit of it ;) before leaving koh lanta I will have another go!
Service friendly and prompt.

“Simply delicious.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2012

If you are heading north from Long Beach towards Saladan on the rights hanside just after you pass a big petrol station (with a 7-11) with brightly lime green and yellow painted building - cant miss it. Value for your money breakfast and sandwiches which are not only delicious, but generous portions as well. The farmers breakfast (eggs frittata with sliced potatoes, ham and bacon) was my favourite. Also try their home made yoghurt, musli, assortment of bake goods including cheese cake, brownies, croissants, and home made breads - they are all fantastic! For lunch you have a wide selection of sandwiches (BLT, Ham, Tuna, Eggs, etc) on your favourite Fred home made bread (ciabatta, baguette, etc). The friendly German owner is usually there and will come to your table to say hi. We came during off season and they only open for breakfast and lunch (until 5:00 pm) and closes on Mondays. We highly recommend Nang Sabai German Bakery!

“Best breakfast in town (island)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

The breakfasts here were nothing short of fantastic. Cheaper than anywhere else and a hundred times better I'd highly recommend eating here. We had western favourites like porridge which was better than home, museli with yoghurt and fruit, huge portions and the yoghurt is homemade and delicious and boiled dippy eggs which were yummy.

Everywhere offers the same, but it's often a poor excuse as being edible, here, it's delicious and homemade. Definitely worth it. You'll find it about 5 minutes from the north of the island heading south on the left hand side just before the petrol station.

“Comfort food for a hungry Brit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2012

If you fancy a change from Thai food, stop off at the German Bakery. Coming from Saladan it's clearly signed on the left hand side of the road. My favourite for a late breakfast/early lunch is the Farmer's Breakfast, an omlette with ham and potatoes. Great value and I'm told the bread is good too - judging by the number of people dropping by for loaves. Enjoy!
