We were stuck in the rain so we ran into Shanti Shanti for some desert!
We had caramelised banana and nutella crepe's. They were delicious.
The French man who owns this place was friendly and attentive. The other staff were smiling and helpful.

On the main road through Klong Nin, this chilled out wooden shack is supercool. Quirky interior with an eclectic mix of furniture and furnishings.

We has ice cream here three times, chai tea, pistachio praline. By far the best ice cream I have eaten in my life. Super creamy sweet and totally decadent.

Limited menu with two western salads, one pasta dish and one chef special and one Thai dish. I ordered the penne with cream sauce, olives roasted garlic and chicken, simple yet totally delicious.

This place is highly recommended.

Wow the muesli is by far the best on the island and a huge serve with around 12 different varieties of fruit on top! So good I had it two days in a row! The western coffee is as good as you will get on the island and the owner takes great pride in making it perfect for you, the Thai coffee however is slowly becoming more of a hit with us for its strong and rich flavour! Luckily both as severed at Shanti Shanti so you can take your pick!. The owner and his wife are so friendly and helpful, after our first visit they informed us that would would be closed the next day because they had a 9am boat to catch out for the day. We must have looked disappointed so they offered to open up early for one hour so we could have breakfast! We were also lucky enough to catch fresh chocolate croissants coming out of the oven! Seriously good, usually only baked in the high season so we were very spoilt! Great value and the ice-cream is also homemade and very tasty!! Thank you very much for looking after us.

What a wonderful little find. We were walking down the road and saw a sign for accommodation. As we are on a budget this was great for us. Our expectations were low (as was our budget) but we have found a hidden gem.
The finishing touches in the room are great. All rooms have a mosquito net, the bathroom is a good size and during the current lightening storms in the evening we have been at one with nature viewing the storm from our bed and out the window.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic experience.

Have come here several times already during our stay -- Shanti Shanti serves the best western food I've had in Thailand (and I've been living here almost a year). The staff are also so friendly and it's a nice cosy place to hide from the sun.

It's low season menu right now but still everything is delightful. The tomato mozzarella salad has the perfect balance of tastes and the chef salad (chicken), burger and chef's pasta were all fantastic. The pistachio praline ice cream (home made) was to die for. Seriously, the chef is a genius!!

All very reasonably priced and amazing value for the quality. Wish I could find this kind of place in Bangkok...
