The ice cream is just wonderful and the crepes are pretty nice too. It is French perfection in Koh Lanta.

Love this place. French Ben and his Thai wife run a Gallic cafe/bistro with a local twist. Everyone who bangs on about the fruit salad is absolutely right. Get one to share, though - they're massive! Ben has built some charming Eco bungalows at the end if a dirt track behind the cafe. The bigger ones have a terrace and hammock and hot showers: very tastefully done and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the jungle vista - especially the monkeys swinging from tree to tree! We paid 750bht per night. Highly recommended.

We returned here after just over a year and were recognised by the delightful couple who run this lovely chic bistro style eatery. The ambience has not changed from the friendly, bubbly vibe we had in 2012, in fact the service is now slicker without loosing the relaxed feel. The food is great. Admittedly we have only sampled breakfast and dinner, albeit on several occasions but it never failed to deliver on flavour, quality & value. They have a very small sign saying 'all food cooked with love', this is so true. Having eaten in many restaurants in various countries, the small but varied menu ensures you are in for a freshly prepared delight. Its French charm is delightful and spot on and I'm sure fills a niche in this local Thai tourist haven, however do not discount the talents of "Mrs Shanti Shanti's" Thai cooking abilities - the smells coming from her pans as she prepared a meal for the 'family' were seriously delicious and could bring a different dimension along the same lines of "select offerings" that this contemporary restaurant has to offer. If we return to Koh Lanta in 2015 we will be back for more!! Thanks to you both :-) x
