Simple bungalows with double beds, mosquito nets, air con, a TV and an adjacent bathroom. All very clean and staff very nice. Very good price and close to the beach. Nice garden area. Would definitely stay there again!

The first room they gave us had a broken bathroom window - which wouldn't close or lock - and a wobbly sink. We mentioned this at reception and they gave us another room instead.

The tap & toilet water in our new room had a brown tint to it and people could no doubt see you on the toilet or in the shower - due to the window not having a blind or frosting on it. No wifi in rooms, only many ground floor sitting area/corridor.

I feel slightly bad for giving this negative review as the staff were really nice and friendly, but I just didn't feel the love for the hotel or rooms.

I also ended up here like another reviewer did - from the "Lanta Lady" on Phi Phi. This was in part because I was too lazy to try and find my own place and in my price race they are all pretty much same same but different. Well, I was actually really impressed. For 700B I had a bungalow with hot water and fan with fridge and tv (although since I don't speak Thai the TV was useless!)

As others have mentioned there is free access to the pool and sun loungers next door and the beach was really nice for swimming. You are probably about a 10 minute walk from dozens of bars/restaurants, including many beachfront ones although there are probably about 6 right next to the hotel as well as a 7-11 virtually across the street.

Try the little Thai place right on the doorstep, the one with about 3 plastic tables, it's great. As others have said the wifi isn't available in the rooms but is good in the lobby or pool/restaurant side next door. Overall, I was really pleased and I think it offered decent value for my money and it sure beats anything you will find in that price point on Phi Phi!

Room Tip: Get a bungalow vs a room

Loved the Pada Hotel. Only stayed two nights on Koh Lanta but would have booked here again if we stayed longer for these reasons.
- Good location, the backyard (which is lucious green and great view of the sea from up top) backs onto the beach and another sistering resort, which means you can use their pool, which isnt included on the internet. It is only a small pool but has an excellent surrounding with a reggae bar with 100$ baht cocktails 3-6pm everyday!! IT has free sunbeds, tables, music and justa great atmosphere. Sunset is also great from here!
- We got a standard double room which was great; aircon, bathroom with generous (and clean) bath, fridge, cupboard and many powerpoints.Soap shampoo cond etc provided.
- Very friendly staff and greeted us with cold water and information upon arrival. very helpful. You can also hire a moped from the hotel for $250 baht a day which i reccomend.
- Wifi is limited to the common area but great speed so no complaints.

Great place to stay id highly recommend!!

Room Tip: A room upstairs has great views of the ocean

NEVER AGAIN ! ! ! We booked ( and confirmend ) a bungalow with fan and get an AC room with no balcony, no fridge and a dangerous bathroom ( open wires / electricity ). After complaining we got the booked bungalow. We had to short our booking because of an accident and they wanted to keep the money for another 9 days after we already stayed there for 1 week. The owner did not want to speak to us at all and was just trying to use our horrible situation and we had an awfull discussion with the staff. To pay for 2-3 days more would have been O.K., but the whole 9 days is like gangsters.
Small walking way in front of the bungalow is used from moppeds also at night, beach not far, little rocks but O.K.; you can hear the muezzin sometimes.
No restaurant , no minimarket inside Hotel as they say; wireless lan only in the house ( entrance where everybody is coming inside ), no wireless at the bungalows at all, no english TV in the bungalows as they say only thai. We have been to Thailand more then 15 times and never had such a bad experience with people.
We knew from other people, that the pool of neighboring hotel can also be used, but this was always busy.
Big diverence if you stay in the hotel or in a bungalow
Room was clean also the bathroom; no wireless lan at the bungalows at all, no english TV in the bungalows as they say only thai, - very small terrace, without table and chairs, outside door close to the path, which was also used by moped riders even at night.

Myself and my boyfriend have been backpacking around Thailand for a month now.
We stayed at the Pada hotel for a week. We did literally no research before going from phi phi and the travel agent there put us here for 500 baht a night.

We were picked up from the pier and brought to the hotel (about 20 min drive).
The welcome was excellent. Smiles and water on arrival.
The receptionist was well educated and extremely polite and willing with probably the best English I have heard a Thai speak so far.
The room was clean and spacious. As we were staying for a full week, we were given a tv and a fridge (fridge very handy!). Bath and shower with hot water in the bathroom!yay!
The pool next door at Lanta Palace is just perfect. Pada guests can use this for free as the two hotels are sister hotels. Pool is medium size, never too busy and always a bed to lie on. There is a restaurant that does tasty food, prices 100-200 baht for a main. Bar near the pool does fantastic cocktails!
The beach is clean and sandy. The water is a little rocky but swimable. Sunbeds on the beach which I think are free. Stones throw to Klong nin beach if you can swim round the rocks. Otherwise walk 10 mins down the road for easier access.

The area itself is quiet. A few 7/11's around and plenty of restaurants if you fancy a stroll when you turn right out of the hotel.
We tried both ends of the price range. The first (can't remember the name) is on Klong nin beach (10-15min stroll) and it has the cookery school at the front. You can see the hobs from the road. The food and the service here was fantastic. Paid about 600 for two mains and four soft drinks.
On the other hand, there were a couple of more basic "local" type restaurants where you can get delishious food with portions twice the size for about 250 baht for two mains and two waters. There is one beside the "happy happy happy" shop (you'll know it when you see
it) and the service is a little mute but friendly an prompt none the less.
We went out to a nightclub on our first night- Funky Monkey. It was dead as a doorknob. But they do good cocktails and have a dj who will let you pick the next tune and you can play pool too! :)

I can see why people go to Lanta with their young kids. It ain't phi phi but you are probably doing more research than we did! :)
Pada is great though and has everything you need if you're lookin for a peaceful stay on a sunny island.
