I can't believe I am only writing this review now because I was there beginning December 2013. I stayed for 4 nights with my mum at the end of our trip to Thailand. This hotel will always have a special place in our heart. I would go back any second. Upon arrival in Koh Lanta we wanted to do plenty of things on the island but then we arrived at the SriLanta Resort and we just didn't leave for 4 days. It was just incredible. The setting is amazing, the styling and decoration of this hotel was really beautiful. I loved all the wooden rough structures and the open plan of the hotel. Our room was exactly what we wanted. a quiet little hut upon a small hill with a semi open bathroom. It all felt very eco resort. The hotel would have already been AMAZING like this but the staff is what really did it for us. They are so friendly... I don't even know where to start. In Thailand most people are crazy friendly but at this resort I felt like it was even more so. We kind of felt part of this one big happy family. The staff just seems very happy to work there. It's true it's not the 5 star service meaning it's fast or without flaws but that was the charm for us. after all you are on a holiday so what's the rush? And who can get annoyed when the waiter asks you a few times to repeat your order with the biggest smile on their face? Just thinking about it again makes me miss this hotel and its people a lot. Just want to say a special thanks to our waiter 'Arm' as well. He definitely made our holiday even more special than it already was. Thanks to all the staff at SriLanta. We will definitely be back!

We spent 5 days with Sri Lanta, overwhelming setting on the beach with try hard views across to Phi phi. Underwhelming service, as noted in previous reviews, it is the little things that make a big difference to your stay. It took 3 days to get a key to our room safe, only after bugging the front desk 5 times in 3 hours.

Rooms are great, simple and comfortable, bring books, no dvd options, would be a great addition, but not the no deal breaker.
Koh Lanta is brilliant, rent a scooter, explore, eat at the dodgy looking food outlets, enjoy the sunset, get a massage and relax into it.

Booked this hotel for something different as to beachfront room. Nice little cottage room with Veranda which we hardly use as there's just too many mosquitoes at night.
Nice clean room and toilet. For the price we paid (US50), fantastic value for money. Spent the day around pool and nice garden area as well as biking around the island. Basic spa room and compound but good masseuse with great technique, as good as some luxury spa.
Walk along the stretch of beach and Sri Lanta seemed like the nicest of all..
Restaurant serves delicious Thai food though too many flies to really enjoy our meal.

Why provide a nice bathroom if we cant go because of full of ants? Also should do something to get rid off fly's when having breakfast/lunch/dinner. Overall was good , but could be better for the price . Also a swiming pool is a bit too small.

The perfect resort for couples (and families) to relax and refresh. The resort is peaceful, the staff are lovely and helpful and the island itself is paradise.

The included breakfast is a good spread; Traditional and Thai options. Get a chef to make you an omelette, there's muesli and fresh fruit. Be aware that there aren't any seats in the restaurant; rather cushions on the floor. The food there for lunch and dinner is awesome too (though just a short walk up the beach will take you to some other cool places that are a little cheaper). Try the 'No money No honey' cocktail at happy hour (5-7pm) - delicious!

You can organise all the tours you want to take part in at the hotel and its no more expensive then going through someone else. I recommend the 4 Island day trip - pay the extra for the speed boat transfer over the long boat if you want to get there faster (plus they'll pick you up from the front of the resort on the beach with the speedboat). The hotel has scooters you can rent for the day too.

Only small problem was that we got one of the 'star path' rooms because we thought the bath on the veranda would be cool. It was such a hike!! Do not get one of these rooms unless you want a hike. And the bath wasn't that nice - dirty and full of bugs.

Pick this resort as it is in the perfect location on the island and will get you hooked on Thailand - we're already planning our next trip!

Room Tip: Only small problem was that we got one of the 'star path' rooms because we thought the bath on the veranda would be cool. It was such a hike!! Do not get one of these rooms unless you want a hike. And the bath wasn't that nice - dirty and full of bugs.
