What I'll remember most about La Laanta is the staff. So friendly, a lot of fun, always a smile. The food is great, the beach and sunsets beautiful. It IS secluded, but that's the point of this place. Boats will pick you up at the beach for day trips to other islands, etc. It was a great stay!

Room Tip: We had a room that was kind of close to the pool. It was perfect.

We loved the Hideaway. The staff made the place thanks to a more genuine feel of Thai friendliness. The food is very good for this type of place and the location is ideal if you are looking for seclusion. Bamboo Bay or Klong Jaak are the best beaches in Koh Lanta for chill out and the Hideaway is the best place we found after staying at many places during our extensive travels. It is not a 5 star impersonal hotel and some may find the rooms a little tired looking. If you get cabin fever, try the wonderful half day trek through the National Park to the absolute south of the island - a magical journey and destination.

What a sweet place. The best thing about it is the staff. They are like a family and treat you as a family member staying at their cool, hip beach hideaway. Chico was extremely helpful with all of our needs and booked all of our taxi transports and day trips to Koh Phi Phi and Koh Rok. The setting is amazing - a true hideaway. You are in the jungle at the end of Koh Lanta on the edge of the national park. The hotel is on a beautiful long beach with calm, clear water. The max amount of people I ever saw on the beach was about 15 - 20. The food at the restaurant was great and the service was relaxed but super speedy and friendly. All in all, you get quite a lot for the reasonable room rate. Of note: There are monkeys on the beach so watch your stuff. There were a few bugs in our bathroom but that is to be expected as you are truly in the jungle. The hotel is quite a distance from the airport, 2 to 3 hours. So make sure you make time for that. Its a bit of a trip but definitely worth it. Loved, loved loved La Laanta and miss it and the staff already!

This was one of our favourite places that we stayed during our trip to Thailand. Patrick was very helpful and always replied to emails promptly when we were making our reservation. We organised a transfer to the hotel from Krabi airport which is well worth doing. The location is fabulous the perfect place to relax and recharge our batteries for a few days. The food and cocktail menu is fabulous and the bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. Tik we loved your games and card tricks! Thank you for making us feel so welcome!

Just got back from an amazing stay at LaLaanta. Staff are lovely and friendly, the restaurant serves great Thai food and delicious cocktails from the bar which are reasonably priced. Breakfast is buffet style with lots to choose from - fresh fruit, cereals, eggs, pancakes, toast etc. There are a couple of other places to eat along the beach but we stayed at LaLaanta as everything was delicious! The room was great, cleaned everyday with two free bottles of water. We had one of the Horizon Gaze villas which is set back a little from the beach/pool area but it was nice to have a little distance.

The setting is amazing with the resort nestled among the trees/hillside and infinity pool almost directly on the beach. Massages offered directly on the beach too! Very quiet at night and it is right at the tip of the island down a steep dirt track so it'd be difficult if you wanted to get out/back to the resort at night. We were picked up from our speedboat when we arrived and taken straight to the resort. On our final day we had to leave early, before breakfast, but the hotel provided us with food to take with us which was a nice touch. If you're after a few days of peace at a lovely resort then this place is perfect.
