Koh Kradan is not that easy to get to, which is great for those who are looking for a peaceful, lovely paradise like island.
There are no disco's, loud bars nor a road. The visitors come here to relax, enjoy the beaches, snorkeling and the views.
One can organize a trip to the neighboring islands to snorkel, or can rent a kayak from the accommodation and circumnavigate the island in 3- hours.

Many places are opened for the high season and only Paradise lost is welcoming the visitors year round.
The main beach can get crowded on the weekends and when day trippers arrive, but that can be avoided with a bit of planning.

Thank Boleslav

This was the most charming island visited. No cars, Bikes or vehicles. A few beach huts, and resturants. If you want peace and quiet this is the island for doing nothing but soakinf up the sun and snorkelling tin the clear waters with the colourful fish.

The best of Thailand! We went there with excursion (4 Islands with Opal travel) from Koh Lanta and it was great!
Perfectly white hot sand, crystal clear water, amazing views.

We spent a week on this island. It is not crowded. A few speedboats come every day and the tourists are always wondering how we foud the place... Snorkling was also good - plenty of fish on the edge of reef. There was a lot of little stingging animals in some areas too (but it is common in whole Thailand). I used to run every morning along the beach here - but be aware of the dogs. Nothing happend but it was not pleasant sometimes. We also took a little hike through the island on the other side. There is a small place with restaurant and accommodation in the middle of the island - a few unfriendly dogs again... There is only 1 so called shop on the island, always run off the chocolate bars :) you can buy water, soda, chips, basic toaletries. The food served in restaurant is OK. We took a super trip to the Emerald Cave on the opposite island. We hired a taxi boat on the reception. You need to go when tide is low and then you swim through a tunnel to the cave. Excellent!! We had a lunch on the island too.
I would definitely go again to this island. We enjoyed it very much, the crystal blue water and the atmosphere of being almost alone here,... even my 10 years old son fall in love with it. (and the free wifi on the reception :)

koh kradan was without question one of the highlights during our stay in the andaman sea. there are only a few very expensive resorts located on the island and so we decided to stay on the nighbour island koh mook at the cocologde. from there it was possible to organize a fullday boattrip to koh kradan. the boat needs around one hour for the short distance. our food and our drinks we brought with us for ourselfs, because the is no possibility to buy something on the island. the water around koh kradan was crystalclear, bathtubwarm and it was possible to snorkle directly in front of the few beaches on the island, because a beautiful coralreef is located there. we travelled in the low season thruogh the andaman sea and so we had the small island nearly for us alone. robinson crusoe feeling was programmed in advance. we can recomment koh kradan very much. a fullday boattrip is enough because the island is so small. it is realy the best option to stay on koh mook...specially in the cocolodge (cheap and realy good with beautiful helpfull staff). from there we were able to organize all out trips to the neighbour islands.
