We had the tour with floating market together. Also with monkey show that is at the same place as elephants. The monkey show is horrible. The tour on elephant is better but nothing less than avarage. I would not recommend. The tour is quite small circle in the city. No nature at all.

This wasnt on our itinerary but my friend wanted to try riding an elephant. Fee is 600baht for a 30 minute elephant ride (printed pictures not included). It was a bit disappointing compared to our elephant ride along the ruins at Siem Reap, Cambodia. One surprise though is the elephant walking through a small body of water, almost fully submerged (you won't get wet though). Other than that you'll be disappointed going around the trees and narrow pathways for the elephant. Also, one basket of bananas for the elephant to eat costs 100baht.

Hardly anyone spoke English and they just pointed and told you where to go. The elephant was obviously hungry because it ate the basket of bananas (100 THB) I bought and still wanted more. Area is small and the ride only lasted 30 mins because the elephant kept stopping to beg for food.
They take pictures of you and when you get off they offer you one on a clock face for 300 THB which I fell for only to find the other pictures were near the exit and were 200 THB in a frame. They offer to let you pet a baby monkey and baby elephant which is chained to the ground for another 100 THB which I did not do.
I am sure there are much better elephant rides in Asia

We arrived here late after the floating market and the tiger temple, and it was a very relaxing way to end a very long day. Riding the elephant was very peaceful. The whole village was nice and relaxing.
