Compairing this hotel with all seasons in BKK... Is the riverside hotel in need of a makeover. Rooms that need new furniture and better hygiene, working airco,... Breakfast was ok. Closeby you can find tuk tuks for cheap prices, and the old city is not far away. Location was ok but the hotel could not please me.

Poor, old, smelly rooms. Very poor english of their staff. Breakfast almost not existing - just some toast, tea or undrinkable coffee. Many guests bought something in the nearby convenience store and were eating this in the breakfast room. Overpriced Internet / WiFi. Some things (clothing, pocketknife, toilet case, ...) have misteriously disappeared in our room, but of course they did not understand what we were confronting them with and emails remained unresponded... The only positive aspect is the convenient location close to the railway station.

Room tip: Don't pay more for a 'riverside view room' or a high floor, it's the same (poor) standard.

I booked 3 nights here on the ending of my 4 month cycling trip through Asia as I was planning on taking the train back to Bangkok to avoid Bangkok traffic. The hotel is in dire need of overhaul. I had a Deluxe room ($26 a night on internet) that had burns all over the carpet, a big burn from an iron in the middle of the floor, no toilet paper in the room, light bulb out in bath. You have to buy an internet access (150 baht for 24hrs) but it rarely worked to give me access. When I complained about this, they wouldn't give me my money back, just another 2 hrs (that didn't work either). The rooms are filthy. Bed was comfortable which is only reason I gave this 2 stars.

Room tip: Just avoid booking into the hotel; I would not recommend staying here.

Thank god I only had to stay here for 1 night.
Dirty and neglected are words that spring to mind. The balcony of our hotel room had cigarette butts all over where it clearly hadn't been cleaned, the carpet inside the room was filthy with stains all
Over, there was just a lode of furniture crammed into the room that shouldn't have been there, the bathroom was dirty, especially the shower curtain and toilet and sink mixer.
Food was shockingly bad,the international option was breakfast is poor.
Location is so so.U need a tuk tuk to get to little Khao San rd is (which is where the only life is in Ayutthaya at nite) which takes between 8-10 mins. The tuk tuk drivers will try and scam you on your way home because there are so few tuk Tuks in town at nite and they know they can get away with it.
Had to pay for wifi and when I did pay for it I could only use it in the lobby.
Reception staff have NO ENGLISH other than hello and thank you so if you go here you will not be able to ask for advice.
All in all, stop over for 1 night is acceptable but there are better places for cheaper on little Khao San rd for example Tony's place

I was misled by the doorman about the price but stayed for two nights anyway. After a day sightseeing on my second day I discovered my electric shaver, battery charger and toiletries were missing. The receptionist didn't want to do anything about it till morning, saying the staff were all new. That was obviously untrue as they were all old. I called the police but they didn't come, but a number of phone calls were being received and made by the receptionist. I went outside and saw a middleaged woman, obviously not a guest, entering the hotel carrying a handbag. A few minutes later I was advised my items had been found. When I told the story at a local cafe,a German visitor told me he had checked out because his luggage had been interefered with. Locals say that often happens in this hotel. What a terrible reputation.

Room tip: Stay somewhere,anywhere, else
