“An overnighter.”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Take it for what it is. A hotel with a clean bed, free wi-fi and clean food. It's a little worn out and in need of a little updating but generally well-kept for a hotel by the chao praya river. loacation is a plus and service is eager. It was a business stay so it was ok but personally, i wouldn't take a vacation here unless all i need is a bed and breakfast.

Hotel was in a very good location with easy access to the floating market, train station and boat to Ayutthaya Island. The room was very nice and spacious, with river views, double glazing, safe and good WiFi access. The English speaking staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was wonderful - there was a fantastic selection of hot foods at the buffet including bacon and grilled tomatoes as well as the usual Asian rice and noodles and an egg/omelette station. There was also multigrain bread!! It was great to use the swimming pool after a long hot day walking around the ruins.

Extremely good. Ideal for access to the historical park. Room a good size and comfortable with safety box. Staff most helpful. Restaurant overlooking the river superb. The swimming pool is a little small.

I came here as part of a group and as such got the room at a discount. That may have influenced my opinion. We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The hotel has nice rooms, clean and functional. Ours had a decent view of the river. The rooms have a mini-bar, safety box, and enough space to move around. Wi-Fi was free and did not require a code to log in. The shower was on the lukewarm side one morning, but absolutely fine the other. The hotel has at least three places to get food: a coffee shop where a buffet breakfast (included) is served, a Vietnamese restaurant with outside seating along the river, and a Chinese restaurant. There is also a sitting area in the lobby where you can order drinks or ice cream. On the third floor is a small gym, a massage place (a bit steep at 700 baht per hour), and a small pool.

The breakfast buffet was quite varied and had some things you don't find at cheaper hotels, such as bacon! It was a mix of Thai and western dishes. I didn't eat at the other two restaurants.

The hotel is probably about one-quarter of a mile (half a kilometer or so) from the train station. Tuk Tuks can be hired right outside the hotel to take you where you want to go. Just beyond the train station is a small pier that will take you across the canal to the old city part of Ayutthaya for four baht. From the other side of the canal, you can find a shop that will book a boat tour of the city for as little as 200 baht (2 hours, three stops).

If you want to stay in a somewhat upscale, clean hotel and be close to the center of Ayutthaya, this hotel is a good choice. Nothing too fancy, but you should be comfortable here.

Room Tip: Rooms near the elevators should be avoided. The cleaning staff seem to have a room near the elevato...

I attended a conference and stay there for 2 nights. The hotel locates by the riverside. The room was clean and the lobby was well decorated. Wi-fi cover all the hotel and is free of charge. The conference room (Chuan Chom room) was a bit smelly which may be because the carpet was old and worn out. Breakfast and lunch were very good and may be the best part of this hotel.

Room Tip: Request for a river view room.

I stay about 10 days on my business trip with 4 Japaneses.

An old hotel with good managing.
The style is, old. --- for example, Cafe with people singing on the stage. old style Karaoke room.
Lift is very small and quite slow.
Staff can speak not very English and compare with so many Japanese there, they can't very little talk in Japanese and unable to understand Japanese.

- The room, nice and spacious but bathroom ceiling is too low. I have so sit in the bathtub while having shampoo because if I stand, my head is over the shower and my hand will reach the ceiling.
- TV in room not good Signal.
-NO coffee and tea maker and water boiler
- no international electric plug here, only 2 flat (like in Japan) can be use.
- 2 bottles of water per day for complimentary
- dryer in room
- no bathrobe
- bath amenities include, soap, shampoo, shower gel, shower cap, cotton bud
- Music in bathroom --- it's not work when I try but the music start after 1-2 hour after.

Food
- Thai food are okay but not good just able to eat if you don't think about over price.
- Italian food is something good something okay.
- I didn't try Chinese food but my business partner said it's really poor.
- ABF is quite good.

GOOD POINT!
- Free Wi-Fi and work well.
- Spacious room.
- Location --- riverside, near town, market, Tesco Express and 7-11

PROBLEM
- I think it's quite non-sense giving me Twin-bed room since I reserve single room.

- One of 5 room we stay, the shower start to flow slower at the 3rd night. I told them to check and repair, 1st time they did nothing, 2nd time they said it's no problem, 3rd time they go checking again and said will be come back to repair about 20 min. after they didn't come again. 4th time we told them again on the morning and went out to work, when came back at night, nothing was repaired so I phone them again and finally got an offer to change room.

- VERY NOISY at night. The student Camp shout and knock the door, some drunk people walking around and said loudly, some Governors on a business trip shout and knock the door of their friends until around 1 AM. --- 10 nights without peace.

- 1 time forget to change towels. I went out for work, came back to my room and found that there is no any towel in the bathroom.... When I phone them, first thing they said is it's in the bathroom, please check there. BUT! if it was there I won't phone you at night, girls. Finally after I said 'no, it's not there' after 2-3 times, the maid came.

- Laundry miss 1-2 pieces but came back after told the Front Desk to check.

- Laundry Bag charge 150 bath if missing. However, the bag hadn't back to the room after send some clothes to laundry service and they try to charge for missing bag. --- good thing is, when explain them that it missed after send the clothes to laundry they didn't charged us.

- Small trash in bathroom, like my hair, are on the floor since around 3rd night until the end of my trip.

- The waitress in Cafe try very much to offer 'EXPENSIVE' MENU --- everything they offer is overprice and not that good. When order 'small' one, they also offer us to select the 'big' one instead.

- ABF has various menu but most of them are without name plate, even tea-coffee or juice have no name plate, you have to guess.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have no choice since it's business trip and I'm not the one who choose the hotel.
I'm okay with staying here again in any business trip but not in private trip.
