They are located in the same building as museum, 2nd floor. They provided helpful maps and information like buying bus tickets in the center of town.

“First place to visit when in Ayutthaya”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2012

The Ayutthaya Tourism Center situated at the former province's old city hall known as "sala klang" is in fact the first place to visit by newcomers to Ayutthaya. The place features next to the Ayutthaya National Art Museum, the Tourist Authority Thailand (TAT) Information Center and an Exhibition Hall on Ayutthaya's tourism.

The hall has been partly renovated and is an excellent start for a full overview of Ayutthaya's tourism potential, be it historically, its attractions or Thai food and rural accommodation. The exhibition hall is very informative and well set-up. It is a pity not many visitors to Ayutthaya make use of it. The exhibition hall on the first floor can be visited throughout the week with an exception on Wednesday, and opens at 0830 Hr (until 1630 Hr). There is no entry fee.

An extra advantage is the TAT Information Center on the ground floor, which can provide the visitor with additional information in English, TAT brochures and maps.

What is really missing in this place is a small drinking facility. A visit to the air-conditioned exhibition makes you thirsty and it can only be beneficial for the traveler's health to be good hydrated in this tropical climate. Additional a local Wi-Fi set-up could make the place more convenient for the visitor. Another issue related to the exhibition is the lack of a wooden bench in front of the two monitor screens; a possibility to sit would facilitate the visit of elderly people. Anyway, I have to conclude that the Tourist Authority Thailand did a great work here.
