“We loved the Pludhaya Resort! It is a small, intimate and beautiful hotel just outside of Ayutthaya. Excellent staff!”

We fell in love with this small hotel set around a beautiful pond with fountain. It was peaceful, beautifully landscaped, and had a feeling of grace and welcome. It is a wonderful change from the large, corporate hotels that seem to abound in Thailand. Very personal and inviting. We would highly recommend Pludhaya.

This is a great place.
Like others, the first impression was not 100% reassuring but within about 5 minutes we knew we had made a great choice.

And after 2 days we felt like family!

Where do I start?
Great food ( amazing green curry and even though it's not on the menu the red curry was delicious!)
Great location...you dont need to be in Ayuthaya, this place is a tuk-tuk ride away.
Great rooms. Beds are a bit hard and I'm sure Joey will get them to fix that. But the bungalows are very nice and homely...nothing too fancy, just clean and a good size.
Great service. Thai people are very friendly but pretty soon here we felt like family...they helped us have a really authentic trip..,booked us a meal on a sunset boat trip around the city that was an amazing experience...and ensured that we had our experience...not a packaged one.
Could it be improved? Yes. I talked to Joey about a few niggles...the plastic menu cards and strange photos of 'breakfast' on arrival which made me think we were going to get a happy meal! Incidentally breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh fruit!!!
The word 'resort' in a western sense implies a large place with all sorts of amenities, big flashy entrances and bars and golf courses. In Thailand this is not necessarily the case and Pludhaya is a good example of a B&B Resort. We loved it.

At first when I was taken to the resort, I was feeling a little unsure about where I was going because we were passing through rice fields outside the city to get there. When we arrived, I realized that we weren't far from the city at all and just far enough to be in a very peaceful location. The resort offers free transportation to and from the city which is only about a 5 to 10 min drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Its a smaller resort with only 9 rooms so there is more of an intimate feel to it. We were able to relax by the pool and also had a very relaxing massage. They also have a restaurant over looking a beautiful lagoon. The food was very good and the menu had a lot to offer. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for 2 nights but I will definitely come back next year. The receptionist was even telling me about a "long stay" package that they will offer soon so maybe next year, i'll stay a week! I highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to escape reality and surround themselves with nature.

Our bed was very firm- firmer than we like. But everything else was perfect. Our villa had a large shower room, a separate room with toilet and sink, a large bedroom and a lovely balcony overlooking a natural pool with a fountain. The staff worked diligently to make our stay perfect. When there were fireworks not visible from the dining room, they led to another area and brought us chairs to observe the event (in honor of the king's birthday).
