The Road bridge which connects the temple town of Rameswaram with Mainland India is nothing short of an Engineering marvel! The second longest and the first such bridge over the sea in India, the bridge is over 2.3 KMs long and stands right over the light blue shallow waters filled with Corals and is a perfect treat to the Eye!
I took a stroll on the bridge, which is highly recomended. And I was in for a luck, since the time I went, the Rameswaram Chennai Express was crossing over to the Island on the Pamban railway bridge! What a sight that was!
