I will not call it a resort, cause its kind of small comparitively. But the location is perfect with the major sightseeing places are very near.
The hotel rooms are nice and clean with all required major aminities.
The staff is well trained and nice to deal with. Clearly a better hotel in Three star category, at Kodaikanal.

Room Tip: Get the Executive Suite it comes witha an spacious balcony, could get a great view as well.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in. The location of the hotel is excellent - just 100 mtrs away from Coakers Walk and botanical garden. Our travel agent booked a suite cottage in this hotel. But, when we checked in - we were pleasantly surprised to get that upgraded to executive suite with no extra cost.

There is a lot of greenery in the resort - it had many species of fruit trees around. The rooms were very spacious and the food was great too. The cottage we were placed in had small private garden kind of space. We could even some ducks quacking around the lawn which was beautifully maintained.

Overall, a very refreshing experience and very little to complain. We would love to visit this place once again.

Room Tip: Ground floor suites are best

We stayed 5 days & 4 nights, they have charged us Rs.2500 for doing our photo-shoot in their garden. Everyone of the their staffs & room Service people has watched & helped us in taking photos. but no one didn't say anything about the charges. End of the day... We were informed that you have charged for Rs. 2500 for doing Photo-shoot.

For the first time they have added "Photoshoot charges" in the system (POS), they dont even provide bill for the Rs. 2500, just hand written on the Main Invoice.

We wanted to celebrate our 1st marriage anniversary in a good place. After lots of R&D finally we chose Kodai Resort, Kodaikanal. Well... we were mighty please with the service we got with the Package. Resort was superbly located just beside Coaker's Walk. And was some walking distance from City Kodai Lake. Food available was really nice.. me n my wife had a great time having those buffet @ Breakfast n @Dinner time (included in the package). Our room was really nice ,clean n well maintained with a balcony. View from our balcony was so good that we took many pics there itself. Travel guide was really nice to us... the driver was a good photographer :-)
On our Anniversary day... We were given option to go for Candle night dinner.
In total I can say we had one of our best time in the Kodai Resort. Will love to go again n stay there for a week :-)

The rooms are damp and the bath rooms are smelly hot water is timed 6 to 11am Health Faucets are not working in the toilets.
Before depositng money in the hotel account get the pricing straight in black and white
or else you will loose your control when you see the final bill !!!!!

I went through a lot of reviews before finally settling on this place. The price is a little expensive but in my opinion well worth it. The waiters & receptionist are very friendly. Stayed in the executive room with a garden view.Tried getting the valley view but they were all full. But even the garden view wasn't so bad. Actually liked it a whole lot. The room I stayed in had a hall with a diwan, table & 3 chairs to sit on. They had also placed a couple of chairs on the balcony. The bedroom had a nice bed with a very comfortable mattress &blanket. The bathroom was small but clean. Both the rooms had big windows which I loved. The room service was good. They do charge 20% extra for room service, but the food is well packed & again well worth it. The Food was amazing. Had breakfast & lunch for 3days & the food was exceptional on all those days. Spicy yes, But Yummy!! Even though the place was quite packed, there is still lot of privacy & all the times in the garden, we felt like we were the only one there. They had also lit the bonfire,so ended up sitting next to it all by ourselves till late in the night. Another really godd thing about the resort, is the proximity to Coakers walk,Bryant Park, Boating , Main Bus Stand & the market place . Since there are not autorickshaws travelling would be pretty inconvenient & expensive if you do not have your own vehicle coz you have to hire taxis. But since its so close to everything, you can really make the most of it & need not plan everything to the minute .I would recommend this hotel to anyone & everyone. The only complaint I have is that during the day there are a lot of flies in the room.

Room Tip: Executive rooms with a valley view/Garden view

Pros: 1) Rooms are very well maintained 2) Garden is very beautiful 3) Food served is good

Cons: 1) They have this funny system of "dinner buffet" - so in case someone does not want "dinner buffet" then there is NO ROOM service (means no food served in room) - so we ended up needing to go out @ 9:30 pm on all 3 days .. which is very very tiresome

Room Tip: Suite cottage is excellent for 2 + 1 person.....
