“Inspiring Structure”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

It is a massive structure, self-evident of unbeaten Rajput Empire and tolerant of numerous attacks. Superb quality light and sound show. Guide help required.

“Massive Fort - A galance in Rajasthan history”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

This fort is just 2 hours journey from Udaipur and roads are smooth for drive. This massive fort which had been constructed is an architectural gem. To enter the fort one will cross seven gates to reach the at the top. Its easy to explore fort as one can drive down to each stop inside the fort. A number of places can be seen inside the fort like Kirti Stambh,Vijay Stambh, Merra palace, Padmini Palace, Reservior etc. The best part is to climb the Vijay Stamb and from there one can have a complete view of fort and chittorgarh town. Climbing the Vijay stambh itself makes one think how they have constructed such narrow path stairs, done the artwork on wall and all ventilated. In evening the show is conducted for people to know the history which is real good. Few of places in fort are now in ruined state but that doesnt diminish its glory. There are not much shops inside fort for eating..its just few hawkers selling snacks and coldrinks and one resturant to eat. This fort must not be missed as its a marvel in itself.

“so much history”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

I will say all those who are interested in history and old buildings and art work should go there. there is so much character and personality in this place which makes it totally alive.
its a full days trip , i would say if you are staying in Udaipur leave for it early in the morning so you can be back by evening. if you are someone who like to take it easy then you can also stay over night there but the hotels options are not so good and not so many as in Udaipur.
