“A traveller option perhaps...not for tourists.”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

For two travellers on a budget, this centrally located guesthouse was just fine.

Our room had hot water (rare in Bundi), clean sheets (washed...but not free from old stains), air conditioning (which we paid more for) and a view of the lake too (which we also paid more for). Also liked the friendly little dog downstairs with rickets and wandering tortoise as well as the painted doors and walls.

Would advise to tourists and those in need of a little more comfort, to perhaps look elsewhere though as it wasn't on par with many other locally run options at the same price. Our toilet seat was very broken and in need of a seriously. good scrubbing, walls were filthy, drinks were a year out of date (but this is typical around here), cushions soiled, lots of Mosquitos no nets (but did have a plug and offered to spray our room).

Room Tip: For 300additional ruppees, we had an AC'ed room which at such a humid time of year, was seriousl...

Lovely guesthouse with a nice view on the lake. The entire family is very friendly and we loved playing cricket and other games with the kids! Home cooked food was delicious! We would definately recommend this hotel to all people traveling through Bundi!
Only 1 little remark: there's only wifi in the lobby.

Lovely location, overlooking the lake and a short walk into town. Clean rooms and hot and cold running water with a shower. The Puris are delightful and made us feel like part of the family from the time we arrived. Anita prepared delicious fresh home-cooked food, assisted by the lovely Reyka. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and everything was provided with warm smiles. Wi-fi is available downstairs and at the same time, you have the chance to participate in the family gathering! While there, I became very ill one night and had to go to hospital. All the family were concerned and Sanjay Puri arranged for a doctor to come to the hospital to treat me, while other family members stayed until I was released around 3.15 am. Anita came with me and stayed by my side the whole time. Everyone was so kind and caring, I am sure you would never experience anything like that in another hotel and I will be forever grateful to them all for their warmth and graciousness and for making me feel as though I was a family member. I will always remember my stay at Annpurna Haveli and hope to return again soon. A truly wonderful and heart-warming experience.

Room Tip: We were in Room No. 2 on the first floor, which had a lovely corner seat overlooking the lake.

Such a warm welcome to Annpurna! Cleans, spacious bright rooms. This truly was a home away from home. A wonderful gracious family, who did everything to make our stay in Bundi comfortable, and interesting! Food, exceptional, probably the best food we had in all of our trip to India. Freshly prepared for each meal! excellent home cooking! Anita.....you're wonderful! You can also get a good massage while you're here! I shall definitely head straight to Annpurna for my next visit to Bundi! Thank you!

Check in: very polite and personal Rooms: Compact/clean Bathroom: small but clean Towel/linen : Clean Service: polite and prompt Food: very good Breakfast:simple but tasty Location : Easy to find with great view of fort, lake and garden. Sleep quality: very good . Overall a great home stay. The owner Mrs. and Mr. Puri looks after you very well. A special word for Aarati who is always smiling and serves you like a family member. TV: very small box type. Ac: noise free split ac. Overall score 9/10. Will stay here again and again and recommend to friends and family. However since this is a budget stay do not expect luxury of a star hotel. But this will be a different experience for you.

This is my first time staying in Bundi and this is an excellent little family run hotel right next to the lake. The room is very clean and neat with view of the lake from the window seat in room and views of the Palace and the town from the rooftop. They serve delicious veg food with polite and efficient service. All family and staff are very friendly and helpful and always smiling, an altogether happy stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bundi and will be sure to stay here again when next in India.

Room Tip: Ask for room number 1,.2 or 3 excellent view of the lake.
