For me this was the best room we stayed in on our trip and very reasonably priced. It was spacious, clean, ornate, and with two alcoves to relax reading. The family were very friendly, and obviously used to dealing with foreigners with their polite manner (sometimes lacking in India). Great central location.

Family run, very welcoming stay, really accommodated us through illness and were very kind. delicious home cooked food, and a relaxed downstairs environment. It has a lot of character with the addition of the family, funny. We really recommend the hostel.

Room Tip: ask for the lowest price room first, you wont be disappointed

We visited in December, the hotel in mainly marble and the dinning room is open to the elements on one side, this is clearly designed for the hot summers however in the winter the result is a cold hotel at night, this was also true of our room which had no form of heating. The front door to the street was always open with resultant noise also dogs frquently came in and out of the Hotel. The service and food was average. Wifi works only in the reception area. The positioning just below the Fort and near the main streets is good.We would not return to this hotel.

if you want to have a good rate. The family owners are nice people, but they have still to learn a more proffesional attitude. I booked in advance a single room at a fix price. At arrival I learned many others guests were paying 30% less than me for the same quality room, at the same floor, being a couple or 2 friends. Finally I have got a discount for the 2 nights I stayed. Rooms at the GH are big and OK, but food was no good and relatively expensive if comparing with other Bundi good restaurantes. Breakfast does not start till 8 am.

Very welcoming family in this nice haveli. We had a nice comfortable room (850 RP) and the furniture was a plus! There was a nice common small balcony and a rooftop. Large, very clean bathroom with own waterheater (24h hot water). The downstairs restaurant serves good food and the service is good. We felt really comfortable in this family run guest-house. We will recommand it! The free WiFi was not always good working.

We stayed here for 4 nights in December 2012. It was great. Room was big, comfortable and with plenty of hot water. We had a balcony area too so great for drying hand washing. Food was excellent - cooked by the family and really fabulous mutton curry and veg dishes. Staff were very nice and the family that run the place were all most helpful. Location is good too just under the Palace - lovely views from the roof.
Only one minor down side, free wifi didn't work in the room but it did in the sitting and dining areas so not really a major issue. Would definitely recommend this place.

We had a nice stay here. The haveli is run by three generations of the same extended family and family life goes on around the guests. I liked this as it added something a bit different to the usual hotel/guest house experience but may not be for everyone. We were even invited to a wedding with the grandfather during our stay. The room was big and clean and once we had worked out how the hot water worked, it was on demand (plug in the canister above head height in the bathroom and wait 10mins). The food was nice, all prepared fresh to order by the son's wife. The restaurant could have been a bit cleaner (table mats etc) but was by no means dirty and I think this was just a result of the open nature of the courtyard dining area in what is a dusty town. The staff seemed to be constantly cleaning! There is wifi downstairs (not in the rooms) and the place has a great view over the lake and fort. The town is small so the hotel is within a short walk of everything (2mins from the fort if that). The rooftop is not officially in use but it is a nice place to watch the sun set over the fort with a drink - just ask the owner if you can go up.
