“Re: Great Place to Stay”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

I was in Bharatpur with 20 colleagues and stayed for 2 weeks. This place is in a ideal location between Jaipur and Agra.
The service was excellent. The staff were kind and very friendly. They attended to all our needs very well. The grounds were very well taken care off. The location to the highway was also very convenient.
There is no doubt that this place is one of the best place to stay in this area of India. iI give this place 4.8 stars..
The food was excellent.. Great India food very wide menu. Every night there was something different while I stayed here.

My 2nd trip to Bharatpur, and the only place i can think about is Kadamb Kunj Resort. With a team of 17 people from all around the world. Nice people with warm welcoming gesture. Excellent food and ambience... The service was awesome. Staffs were very friendly and quick... The team were happy to get free internet even in the lobby!!! very close to the Bird park is a great advantage!! Highly recommendable to stay with friends, family and big teams.

Room Tip: Pool facing New wing rooms!!

A long day beginning from Delhi , Taj Mahal , Agra ...and finally reaching this wonderful place , Kadamb Kunj . Superb traditional welcome , quick check in and nice rooms made a great impression of this place immediately . First We were in double minds to stay in Agra or in bharatpur but we finally decided to stay in bharatpur . It's our advice to stay here rather in very touristic and noisy Agra. Rooms were nice with all modern facilities ( beyond our expectations) . Restaurant is cosy and serves excellent food. building is beautifuly laid out and gives a feel of openness . Evenings in the hotel are entertaining and bird sanctuary is superb place to visit . Staff is great and very helpful.

Looking for a place to stay travelling between Jaipur and Delhi we found this hotel on the internet. Reviews quite mixed, but decided to give it a try. Glad we did. Our room (suite) was great, very nice and clean, comfortable bed and very friendly staff.
When we arrived it didn't look great on the outside (could do with some paint) but inside it's more than good!
Would recommend!
And whilst staying go to the Keoladeo National Park, it's a nice break and fun with the cycle riskja down the park, which is truly amazing, but can be busy.
Nature is beautiful and so are the birds! We saw a cobra there.

Must say we booked kadamb kunj with a bit of apprehension since some reviews on TripAdvisor were excellent while others were very very bad.We booked at kadamb kunj primarily because the web site looked good and some of the positive comments looked encouraging and last but not least it seemed the only resort amongst the upscale ones where we could get the 6 rooms we wanted, together.

Driving to the place from Deeg was a nightmare since the roads both from the expressway to Deeg and from Deeg to bharatpur were deeply crater marked and full of pigs, buffaloes and drain water and so all of us were notably tired and irritable and so i for one wondered if the resort would measure up to the best reviews it had got because if it did not then the rest of the gang would pounce on me for having recommended this place.

The location seemed nice and easy to find on the main bharatpur agra road and just 3 kms from the sanctuary .The exterior seemed good too and when we entered the premises we found people waiting for us in the parking itself and the luggage was taken care of promptly.

Trooping in to the reception for a while it seemed as if the worse fears would come true because of the six rooms booked only five seemed to have been confirmed. The gentleman at the reception was also slightly confused about the rooms and took a while to sort out and we ended up having the same kind of ro0ms despite two of the group having booked superior rooms.(this was later sorted out as we came to know that they had on their own upgraded all of us to the superior category.)

As we were escorted to the rooms the doubts persisted and as soon as the rooms were opened they evaporated. The rooms are excellent and can match the best anywhere else in this price range. They were airy , clean, well upholstered, and gave a pleasant feel. The tv worked all right, there were adequate number of channels to see, the remote functioned ok and toilets were clean and well laid out. All the rooms opened into a common corridor overlooking the hotel lawns and we were totally satisfied with the rooms. The same cannot be said of the elderly British couple who were unfortunate enough to be placed in the same floor as us sine the noise we made seemed to disturb them a lot.

Just before dinner we were told the cultural program awaited. This consisted of a couple of small bonfires in the central courtyard and the normal rajasthani couple on the dholak and the harmonium with their son in a huge pagadee dancing in the middle, a function which was soon taken over by our group much to the amusement of the Japanese couple who were hitherto calmly watching the show. The puppet show was also good and an additional touch was that the puppeteer after his show came out and showed us how the puppet was manipulated.Must be noted that the puppeteer was a very very pleasant young man who put on a very good show.

The last hurdle to cross was dinner since most of the negative comments centered round the food. They were all unfounded and this was probably a point in which the hotel had made tremendous improvement since those were written. The food was excellent, the spread adequate (considering it was just 400 /plate)and the only sore point was that there was only one sweet dish (shahi tukada) which did not quite measure up.Breakfast next day, which was part of the package, was also excellent and we started for the trip to the sanctuary fully satiated.

Check out was efficient and the manager himself spent time taking group photographs and left us smiling at the end of it.

We recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to visit the ghana sanctuary and will certainly stay there again.

We went out on a offsite & leisure trip to Kadmabkunj. We were a group of 40 people. The stay was a memorable experience I must say it was one of the best offsite I ever had.. the services were excellent. Pleasantly located in the midst of green fields, the hotel offers awesome view and serene surroundings. As far as services are concerned, the hotel has large conference with decent conference facilities. The rooms are nicely decorated giving you cozy ambience . Delicious food with variety in menu is commendable . Resort has ample of open space for team building activities. Pool side party was a fun experience after a hectic corporate schedule.

Room Tip: we stayed in old wing , it has a nice central courtyard in between....

Visited Bharatpur with my wife for the first time during New Year's Eve and stayed at Kadamkunj resort for 2nights. I would like to mention that location is superb with great team maintaining it. A wonderful host Mr. Gaurav who made it very exciting and added a wow factor to our visit by giving us personalised service. Food was nice. It's more than VFM (value for money) Recommended for sure..

Room Tip: Super deluxe rooms are nice with great view.
