It was indeed a good experience, best place for the people who love birds/photography n looking for some peace. The park is well spread in 29 sq km, has one single road on around 5.5km. Starting with entry which was very nominal Rs 50/- for Indians and Rs 250/- for foreigners, you can take/hire Cycle@Rs25 per hr, Rickshaw@Rs100per hr or can walk. Guides are also available@Rs150 per hr. Prices are fixed. But i felt taking rickshaw as they also had good knowledge. In starting till first check post there was not much to see, after that trust me you will start loving this place, there were different types/shapes /colors of birds mainly migratory birds. Our rickshaw puller Jitender was a good gentleman plus guide.

Tips:
-Food: there is a small canteen in entry and in mid of park(not offering much)
-Reach early as you can see more species
-Binocular a must or can hire@Rs 50 per hr
-Heaven for Bird lovers/photographers
-Distance: 40 km from NH-2
-Timings: 6am to 5pm

There is so much to be remembered of this forest, the pelican swimming in the lakes, fox, owls, falcon, herons, etc. that it feels heavenly. One often is unaware that so much fauna exists in this world. One will not return disappointed and that is my guarantee.

Great for birding but also lovely for just enjoying the countryside. Good to explore by bike but bikes could be in better condition. Guides very knowledgeable (even the cycle rickshaw pullers!). Don't forget to pack the binoculars!

If you are a Bird Watcher, Its essential; if a bird enthusiast even then a great place. The facility is very good. They have guides, vehicles which make it easier. The rates are fixed so no cheating. The huge variety of Birds and a handful of animals as well makes it a great nature lovers paradise. Go there in the morning around 6AM and stay there the whole day. The guides are well informed so its a pleasure. The peace & tranquility of the area is amazing. You may end up wishing more & more. A few hotels around as well.

This was my first sanctuary visit.. Reached Bharatpur on Friday eve.

Opening time: 6 AM Closing Time: 5 PM
Ticket per person: 50 Rs (indian) 250 Rs (Other than indian)
Cycle rate: 25 for normal and 40 for ladies and rangers
Binocular: 50 Rs per hr
Guide : 150 Rs per hr (They have binoculars)(They can arrange a telescope also)
Rickshaw: 100 Rs per hr (Choose the one with Yellow name and number place. Insist for binocular They are equally knowledgeable as guide)
Boating: 150 Rs per hr (Insist to take to Main Lake)

Its definitely a place where u can see a lot birds which u haven't ever seen.. they are beautiful .. very beautiful.

Then in bird sanctuary I heard the name PYTHON and asked our guide to show us.. and we saw 5 (4 live around 12-15 ft each and the one dead was 12 feet). Then we released the guide and planned to roam our self but somehow one of the bicycle broke and we had to carry it till gate 12 kms (Bad experience on first day.) BEWARE WHEN YOU HIRE A CYCLE CHECK IT PROPERLY AND BE PREPARED TO CARRY IT TILL GATE IN CASE IT BREAKS

Option 1: Take map, binocular and cycle on gate and roam urself(ASK HELP AT CHECKPOST IF YOU NEED ANY).
Option 2: Take a rickshaw on gate with binocular(100 Rs per hr) They also have knowledge like guide.

On the second day we saw two pythons 2 ft and 8 ft near the main track.

There are canteen and washroom at gate and then at Keoladev Temple.

Boating was a nice experience .. do it in morning itself.

TIP: DO NOT SPEND A LOT TIME TILL FIRST CHECKPOST.
