My friends and I stayed in three rooms for two days. The good parts: the rooms were large and clean. The bathroom were also large and clean. The location is fantastic, as it is literally next door to the Golden Temple. The staff were friendly and flexible. The tariff was reasonable. There was free wifi, although it was only available in the lobby - at least it was there.
The bad points: breakfast was terrible and slow beyond belief. We ordered breakfast, which is delivered to the rooms, at 8:45am and it came in dribs and drabs between 10:am and 10:30am. It was a few soggy pieces of toast, with chai. It was so bad and so slow that on the second day we decided to skip breakfast altogether. Also, the place was freezing. We asked for three heaters for the three rooms, but were told that only two were available. The heater that went into the 7-bed "family room" was a tiny one-bar radiator, which was completely inadequate. We asked for another heater (not available) or extra blankets (not available). We were all very cold. Finally, due to its location next to the Golden Temple, vehicles were not permitted in the area after dark. We had a to bribe a police officer at the checkpoint to get in to the central area after midnight. Another Indian experience!More
