Well this place was a suprise, was expecting much, but was pleasantly suprised. We arrived really late (3am) but were let in and the room, though basic was comfy. AC worked, TV worked, bed was ok. rooms are set around a little courtyard so the noise and bussle of Amritsar is thankfully muffled. The real suprise was the restaurant and bar, food was great, service friendly and if like me you are missing the joys of a pint of beer in a pub then the Bottoms Up might well be the best pub in the Punjab!
We did the hotels evening trip to the Indo/Pak border and it was really good, included a trip to a mad temple with a Hindu statue maze (yes I know it has a proper name but look it up in Lonely Planet I can find mine).
Overall a good place and would stay there again, especially for a pint and a dahl with butter naan.....More
