Even after a 100 years, the story stands tall. One gets sober and is full of respect upon entering this seemingly ordinary place. The many video re-enactments of the terrorism by British General Dyer in murdering civilians can not evoke the same level of emotions as seeing this memorial in person. Every person should visit it to reconnect with their past.

It is one of the most talked about massacre place of India during British Rule. It is going under construction/ renovation. Even the well where hundred of people have their life was cornered . There is almost nothing to see. Just a place where some bullet Marks are shown.... and a monument... but as this is on the way to Golden Temple putting 15-20 minutes and get satisfaction that you have visited Jallianwala Bagh... that’s it for now...

Be sure you know history of this tragic memorial before you visit. It is a very somber place for India but at the moment it is a total mess. There is so much that could be done to dedicate this location properly. I hope that happens some day soon!

This monument commemorates a tragic event in Indian history but the area surrounding it needs a lot of work to make it worthy of the event it represents. A typical visit will last 10 minutes.
