Owner description: This is the site of the April 13, 1919 massacre of hundreds of innocents by British troops.

After seeing the glory that is the Golden Temple, this simple narrow lane opening onto a memorial garden dedicated to those massacred is a saddening experience. The well where many died trying to escape is particularly saddening. I did not feel proud to be British that day.

Next to the Golden Temple.
Beautiful gardens - green and clean!!
Walk through the history of the place and you will find yourself wondering why did the massacre take place!! So saddened by what happened there so many year ago...
But what is nice is that now it is such a beautiful place (though the bullet holes are preserved)....

An afternoon stroll in winter was good
