The place will take you back in the history. Its a big ground and not altered. One can still see the bullet marks on the walls. Real Patroitism Feel.

the place filled us with deep depression... how much we have taken our independence for granted and how much, how many people have paid with there lives to attain this freedom... we could actually feel their depression, their panic and their pain. the real experience given there were so horryfying....that it made us regret why we never valued our freedom before. Well-kept memorial garden with a small museum area to provide basic information. And looking down the martyrs' well is pretty intense. Very close to Golden Temple.

As a 'bagh' (garden), it's OK; big, well maintained and good to walk around....But, then that's not what you go for... This place has so much history attached to it.

Just as I entered that narrow passage (one of the only 2 entrances to bagh; other being a closed gate), different emotions started arising within - varied from respect to sympathy to hatred.

The well where people jumped to death has been covered and it can be seen from the windows. On both left side and right side walls towards end of garden, bullet marks in the wall have been marked.

When exiting the garden, there is a gallery where photos of martyrs have been displayed.

It's on walking distance from the multi parking complex and Golden temple.

A must visit place to really feel the history.
