The name may be a little mis-leading, however it’s certainly comfortable, clean and well placed to use as a base to see Amritsar.
It’s clearly not a brand new hotel but the rooms are a reasonable size. Our issue with our room was we could smell cigarette smoke coming through the air vent, presumably from another room.
That aside, there’s nothing to fault but little to rave out, save for the excellent food they do in the restaurant. The all round service is above average without being spectacular. Overall it’s a middle of the road 3 star hotel that we’d have no issues staying at again.
Only other thing to mention is the cost of taxi’s they offer. They offered us return taxi to the golden temple for 800 rupees, extortionate when you can get a motorised tuck-tuck from outside the gate return for a tenth of the price. We did use them for a trip to Wagah, and though again it was expensive it was nice to have a proper vehicle with an excellent driver for the return journey in the dark.More
