“Noisy fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

I'd seen it on the TV and it's even better in person. Excellent fun as the border guards try and out high kick each other. Excitable crowds on both sides of the border make this unmissable if yoy are in the area.

“Pure panto!”

A fabulous day out at the theatre!! Soldiers strutting and parading with all the tempo of demented marionettes. A wild and wonderful performance. Foreigners are really close to the action and get great seats. Get there early for the Bangra dancing!!

“Patriotic”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

I had an infant with me who really got scared looking at the mass gathering. People werent behaving their best. The ceremony starts at 4.30 and we reached there at 3.50, but we could not get proper seating in the stadium. I could hardly see the border. Another point to note was that ladies and gents have seperate seating. Otherwise, it was a nice to see the PAKISTAN side of land.

“When in Amritsar, don't miss this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

This place is sure to make you feel patriotic and proud. The act by the Border Security Force is so amusing and goose-bumps is something that will be a constant. This is between Amritsar (Attari) and Lahore (Wagah) of Pakistan. You will witness the lowering of flags of both India and Pakistan which is called "Beating the Retreat" and the soldiers march is so captivating . Start immediately after lunch if you do not get a special pass as the queue gets really long if you lose time. This is just to make sure you get to sit in a place where you can witness the act clearly. You can try to get special VIP passes but please do google to know how.
