Description: In a city steeped in tradition, from its historic buildings to the commercial activities, there is only one family owned restaurant that has endured for 80 incredible, edible years. Crystal Restaurant opened its doors in Amritsar in 1935. Crystal's authentic brand of multi cuisine cooking became a staple in the city, and has continued in their tradition spanning more than three generations. Crystal has also served many beloved stars from Bollywood, sports, business and society. Today, Crystal has remained an iconic family owned and operated business, where friends regularly come to enjoy tasty sumptuous meals, celebrate a special occasion or share in a romantic evening out in our cozy, inviting restaurant & lounge. The sophisticated yet intimate ambience is just a prelude to the pleasures of the exquisite cuisine complimented by extensive and carefully selected wine cellar.

“Nothing spectacular”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

This restaurant was recommended to us and was a big disappointment. We ordered roasted chicken cooked with tomato, capsicum, ginger, fresh corriander and corriander sauce (Murg Tikka Masala) and juicy lamb pieces cooked in a puree of fresh spinach with a touch of spice (Gosht Saagwala) and the taste was the same as every other meal eaten in establishments outside the hotels dining room. The waiters, although relatively smart showed a complete lack of respect with some not wearing ties and only putting them on when Indian families entered and one waiter with his head and upper torso on a table asleep throughout our stay.

“Good icecream”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

Creamy, home-made style ice-cream with real fruit :) Be smart in the summer nights though. Queen's road has traffic jams at 11 in the night - especially on weekends.

creamy, natural flavours. absolute must try.do try and avoid the post-dinner rush in the summers, though the flavours and textures are totally worth it

“Overpriced, average upmarket restaurant”
Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

This is a much hyped restaurant in Amritsar. Actually, theres a dearth of family restaurants in Amritsar which offer good food and ambience at reasonable prices.
Lassis cost Rs140 a glass, non-veg mains are about Rs400 and veg are Rs250. Portions are not huge, but they are not too small either.
Positives: good service, decent ambience
If taste is what you crave, skip this.
If you have a big family and value ambience more than food, go for it.
