Beautiful place to stay for a couple of days. So peaceful, romantic and quite, away from the hustle and bustle of India, so you can recover all your senses. You can take nice walks in the area between tea and spice gardens, or visit the interesting villages nearby.

Rooms are big and clean, with attached balcony where you can rest in the beautiful green surroundings.

The owner is very friendly and staff is helpful, always available. And food is delicious!

Very nice and memorable experience.

We had trouble finding the hotel and called Deepak, the manager who speaks english very well. He said he'd send a taxi to get us. Unfortunately it took an hour for the driver, who didn't speak english well, to find us and it was a rickshaw, not a car. Deepak had neglected to tell us the hotel was 20 km away from Munnar, when I asked when booking. We finally arrived and were greeted by a man who didn't speak english well. We were told guests leave the hotel in the daytime, so the restaurant did not serve lunch. He could make us a vegetable sandwich. The place is so remote one has to book a rickshaw to go anywhere, yet a farm pump was running the whole time, obscuring a sense of peace. We found the place unimpressive for the hefty price and decided to go elsewhere.

We booked well in advance and it all went exactly according to plan.

Be prepared ... Dew Drops is about 45 minutes from Munnar, so if you need to be places early in the morning you have to start a bit earlier. If you like the hustle and bustle of Indian Towns you are in the wrong place. However, if you like beautiful birdsong, stunning dawn chorus, a balcony with a beautiful view out in to the forest and some peace and quiet ... then this is a good place for you.

It is run a bit more like a hotel than a homestay, but it is done very well. The manager seems to live in Cochi and Babu and Biju are the on site operators. It is a big job for them, but they do it very well; they are very accommodating. The restauarant food they make to order and it is yummy. Because it is made to order ... it takes a short while, but that enforces a nice tme to read, write or chat.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfy and I have to criticsms. As sometimes happens .. there are hitches and we had a shortage of hot water. Within in 15 minutes Babu had come with a bucket of very hot water - such is the good service you get.

(Actually the only complaint I have is of fellow guests who find it necessary to talk with very loud voices into the night, disturbing the peace. Cynical comments to Biju about their chicken the previous night are simply unkind, rude and arrogant).

Biju and Babu did there best at all times to provide a very good service, and tehy achieved it - having an awareness that many don't. Seeing someone sitting reading on their balcony they asked if they'd like tea ... it didn't have to be asked for.

After a bustling week in Cochin, we enjoyed our two day stay in this calm and wonderful surroundings very much. We were enthusiastic by the marvellous walking tours around the area of dew drops. The food was excellent and particular the company of our driver Girisch will keep these stay in India in wonderful memorization.

My friend and I recently spent 3 nights in Dew Drops, although we had originally planned to stay just one. And we could easily have stayed the whole week or more just to enjoy the peace and quiet! The place is absolutely beautiful, situated away from the bustle of the town but easily accessible (by bus or auto rikshaw - ask for driver called Jason, who is also a very knowledgeable guide). There are plenty of things to do - we visited several tea plantations (go before sunset) and a spice plantation with an Ayurvedic shop. The staff of Dew Drops is really friendly and attentive. The food is very tasty - every night we had different Indian delicacies and the breakfast is copious. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and decorated in taste, each with a little veranda from where you can enjoy the view. All in all, it was a really enjoyable stay. I hope to go there again one day.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here during a recent trip to India. We arrived by taxi from Alleppey after a 5 hour journey and we were more than impressed. Good, clean, spacious rooms with ensuite and televisions. we enjoyed breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant. We stayed during Diwali and Dew Drops arranged a Rickshaw driver(Jason who we would highly recommend) to take us on a tour. We went to see elephants, spice gardens, tea plantations, the tea museum, Munnar towns markets, temples and churches. He also took us to a little eatery at the side of the road into Munnar town called 'the hot kitchen' which was one of the culinary highlights of our trip!

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same and of a great standard. Remember to ask for them to turn on your hot wat...

Spent a couple of nights here as part of a tour of Munnar. It's a peacful place on the side of a small valley so as you look out you're among the tree tops growing from the valley below. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Hot water would have been nice but we managed, might've been different at a cooler time of year though. As with everywere we stayed in Kerala the staff were very friendly and happy to chat. The food was good, both breakfast and dinner.

We were out for most of the day and evenings so there's not a great deal more to say other than it was a great base from which to explore the area.
