The property is really good and well spread out over 8 acres of land in a hill top. Very close to the main Munnar market and from all the sight seeing points of Munnar. We have opted for their royal suite (S 1), which was really good and royal in size and decor. The Suite consist of one Drawing room with excellent view and one bedroom. Royal suite has one big balcony also. We have seen there Mini suite room, which is not good as the siting room has no view and very small and clumsy in size. its just not worth the money you pay for a suite room as you will never use the sitting area (you will feel Claustrophobia).

The least I speak about the F&B is best. The breakfast menu was a pity to the price you pay for such a property. They have a Bar (serves only Beer and Wine) but during my stay they have only left with kingfisher Premium beer. Fortunately you can get a liquor shop within 5 minutes distance from the resort.

The linen are old and lost the colour, White bed sheets have became yellow, have stain marks, towels are old and has lost the softness.

Why do Government need to manage this properties, they can own the property and lease them to some good hospitality group to manage them on their behalf.

Avoid it if you are not travelling with kids and wants to stay near to the munnar market, there are lot of good options available at the same price point.

Room Tip: We have stayed in Royal Suite, which is really good and have a splendid view of mountain

This is one of the best resorts in the area.. its a good location & well spread out resort... the view was amazing... F & B need to be improved a lot we didn't like the food at all therefore we decided to visit Grand Plaza Munnar for meals...Grand Plaza food was amazing...The staff was very friendly & helpful...Breakfast spread could be improved with better quality food. the propert is not maintained up to the mark.. However we loved the place...

Beauty, beauty, beauty in the hill country of Kerala. Our room was big, comfortable, and even though it was raining, the staff kept someone around to shelter you with an umbrella at all times. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is very willing to help. The only negative was that our sheets and bedspread were dirty when we got there, but they changed them immediately when we. called. Breakfast buffet is large and good. Massage was good, too. We were there in June 2013

Room Tip: If you ever go during "monsoon" be sure to keep the heater on in your room or everything gets really, really damp.

we were there for 3 days in Jan 2012.Tea County is very prime property of KTDC .it has big spread and located on height.Hotel garden and outdoor is well maintained. Our.Room was premium one at upper floor giving beautiful views.Spacious rooms with bit old fashioned interior...room service was good but having the large span and only one kitchen .it was little late Breakfast was delicious but dinner was ok..They insisted on buffet for dinner which was typical south indian taste and costly also.Staff is friendly and co operative. The hotel is not much away from main market and still being on hill is calm and quite place.Location and area wise it is much better then other hotels in town..all the good resorts are very far from town..it is the one which is at good location at near market place..

Room Tip: prefer room on upper floor so can have good views..

We stayed there for 3 night this summer. Its a good property just at the end of the town, cut off from the noise with decent sized rooms with balconies and great views. And thats a big plus as most of the good hotels are away from the city, staying here one can visit different places without driving around the hills a lot. The disadvantage of the location was that its quite a walk if you want to checkout the town.

However, such a good property is put to waste by some pretty ordinary service and quality of food. They have buffet breakfast and dinner and although the spread has lot of choices, the preparation is nowhere of the quality of food you expect in a good restaurant. There is a decent bar but you can only order wine or beer, no other drinks :( Room service and housekeeping was quick but the staff needs training in serving guests.

They have some facilities like the spa, table tennis & pool room and you could try at hand at playing carom in the lobby.
