“Nothing much to see”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

I suppose if you have no idea about tea production, and will not be visiting a tea factory, then this might be better than nothing. But, being a museum, and the only one in the area, I'd expected it to be more than a few non functioning machines and a video. The price of admission is barely worth the free tea! Would I go back? No!

“Interesting look at tea”
Reviewed April 17, 2014 via mobile

Museum is relatively small, 4 or so rooms, one in which you watch an actually fairly good video about the history of the plantations and factory. Then you get to look at the tea making process in a factory set up, the gift shop (selling of course, tea) and lastly a free cup of tea!

Well worth it if you're staying in or near Munnar.

“Very Interesting”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

When visiting Munnar you just have to visit here to find out all about tea - the planting, growing, picking and processing. I learned so much whilst here and am now totally enlightened about the whole process. There was an interesting short film followed by a talk by one very experienced employee who has convinced me how beneficial green tea is. There was no pressure in buying products, but as things were so cheap, I had a whale of a time in the shop afterwards.
