Top station as a spot was ok type...on a clear day you one is going to get decent view from top but that kind of view common in most of the hills. However the road to Top station is full of scenic beauties...majority of the drive will be through the tea gardens. If one wants to enjoy best views of Tea gardens, then drive to top station is worth

The views from the top station are pretty cool but it is a long way to travel just for a view.
As is often said it is not the destination, it is the journey that is important.
The trip to the top station was what was important passing through tea plantations with their spectacular trimmed bushes that form magnificent patterns on the hill sides, going round corners and seeing open valleys as far as the eye could see, passing huge reservoirs and taking in the hustle and bustle of life on an Indian road.
It could be argued that the final view in it's self would not be enough to go back a second time.

Top station is approx 35 kms from munnar..the destination as such isn't that great, you just get a view of the hills from a point on kerala TN border..but the way to this place offers some nice views of the landscape and tea plantations..one advantage is that you can cover some other attractions like mattupetty dam, photo point, eco point etc in this route..so its ideal for a day trip from munnar although top station as such is nothing much to enjoy..happy travelling..

It is just an ordinary tea plantation view. Good for those who have not visited a tea plantation before.
