“Great choice for Nature Lovers”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

We were in group of 5, Given big room, neatly maintained. Ambady's falling water resort is a resort situated in the mountains nearby Munnar.

Good room service and hospitality. Staff and mainly Manager Jayakumar is very helpful and knowledgable.

It's a very nice and calm place to live, big cardamon plantation all around. Small Water fall is good to see but you cannot bath in it because of small insects.

Badminton, Carrom and chess available to play.

Tips: - Those who want to stay near or within the Munnar city, this resort is NOT for you.
Munnar town is 18kms away (you can reach the town in about 30min but because of the poor condition of the road ,it takes much longer). Confirm your booking and meal (if applicable) a day prior to travel because no other good restaurants available for meals.

- Mobile networks is an issue except for Idea and BSNL.

Overall we enjoyed the experience....

Room Tip: Couple rooms have beautiful water fall view... Group rooms are bigger and garden facing view...

Stayed at Ambady Falling water along with parents...The stay was very good and enjoyable amidst the rain....The road to the Resort did not give us a good opinion ,as we arrived in the night .The Spacious rooms (They could have constructed smaller rooms and maximised their profits if thought in a commercial way) & helpful staff gave a good impression ..The morning again added joy to our thoughts...Nature friendly Resort amidst the forest and waterfalls ...Truly good place for relaxation..Dont expect Internet etc ( they should not have it ,as people come here to take off from their routine stress...)..Hot water ,Generator,Invertor etc taken care of..Special thanks to their GM Jayakumar who take care of us !!

Room Tip: Rooms with waterfalls view...

if u r looking to rejuvenate urself,,this is the place to be...awesome cottages,,lovely natural waterfall within the resort premises, cozy roof top restaurant, very helpful staff especially the brother duo managing the hotel..only problem is that its difficult to locate as it is outside the city and on a separate tiny hill top, but that just makes it more amazing

Enjoyed the stay. Especially my parents were very happy about the hospitality of the staff. Place is good, packed with nature and peaceful place to spent your vacation.

Will definitely opt the same place again.

It is a beautiful resort where you can reside with the nature and below the jungles, service is also good and the staff is helpful. reg, GM Sec Fortune Select, Navi Mumbai.
Food was good but the soups were spicy. They also arranged for the Bon Fire during the night. Behind the resort there is a waterfall and jungle walk.

I stayed in this hotel as part of a trip organized by Iris Holidays. I probably wouldn't call it a "resort" though, as other reviewers have mentioned. I enjoyed my stay here, the scenery is beautiful and the staff were wonderful. The manager even took me trekking in the area for a short period one afternoon. The food was delicious and the room was very clean.

Some items to note that others have mentioned: no cell reception and the hotel is very far from anything. On the second day I was here there was a strike and my guide could not take me sightseeing so it was too far to walk to town, which resulted in my trekking expedition. Luckily there was TV in my room to keep me busy the rest of the day.

I thought the mattress on the bed was very thin, I woke up with a sore hip the next day, but I'm a Westerner used to luxurious thick mattresses so maybe this wouldn't bother everyone.

Would recommend the relaxing nature and "getting away from it all" if that's what you are here fore.
