This national park is known for its of Nilgiri Thar (wild goats). It seems this has the largest surviving population of the Nilgiri Thar. But normally there is a long queue for tickets for a bus ride which takes you till the entrance of the park. Once you are dropped at the park, you have to walk quite a lot to spot these animals. Since the national park is at a good height, you can see some amazing views on the way. But it is extremely time consuming because on your way back again you have to wait in a serpentine queue for the bus to take you back. So I would recommend this to only those who have lots of time during their visit to Munnar and those who are capable of walking the slopy roads. I

The trip here consists of a 10-15min bus ride and then a walk around the park. You should be able to see the somewhat rare Nilgiri Tahr, which are quite used to people, so will let ytou get quite close.

The road leading to the national park was scenic on account of the view of tea gardens. However there was nothing to see in the national park as such. All that we could spot after climbing to a very high spot (needless to say we were drenched in sweat and panting) was a goat! I would advice you not to visit this place and concentrate on other beautiful places in Munnar. However in case you are visiting here, don't forget to buy honey from withing the park. It is not available outside.

There are no animals to see except goat after an hour of waiting in the Q. However the drive is very good and exciting. The view from top of mountain is also very scenic.
