“If you do have enought time to waste...”

National Park, but please do not expect tiger or lion walk around you...but you can see the mountain goat which is rare in India. This place is very famous for Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthiana) plants and flowers that blossoms gregariously only once in 12 years, if you come in that season you will feel like heaven, else nothing!

The entry to the park is really a hard job in season, you need to wait in queue under hot sun for hours.

If you want to shoot the Neelakurinji landscape with a nice wide angle lens, its a great spot for you...

“Adventure Gallore”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

It is a wildlife sanctuary housing mountain goats at a height of about 1853 m from sea- level.
Great adventure getting up an down the high mountain, but was a bit scary as the road was full of curves and bends.

“Beautiful landscape but long waiting for transfer bus”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Nice place to have a short walk seeing beautiful landscape and meeting local tourists. We had a lot lot of fun (mutually with local - indian tourists) making photos together in this nice scenery.
Be aware of possible long waiting for transfer buses when entering and leaving park.

“Good site to see , but long waiting in Q in both TO & FRO”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

It was exciting to go to National park by Forest Department bus , after waiting in a very long Q , but good management at Starting. Only Forest Department Vehicle goes in park . On return there was again a long Q. Good scenic beauty. Highest mountain peak of south India ( 2965 mts) is here.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

This is a nice national park. There is no rwal wild life but the place is 6000 feet above sea level and the view form the top is grand. The bus ride is nice. Only down side is that the lines are really long and there is no other option. Avoid weekends as the locals make it very crowded.
