“Awesome Hotel and excellent service”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

On my 6 day honeymoon trip to Kerala, i have been at Munnar (C7 Hotel) for 2 nights and 1 day. As per our itinerary and booking we were supposed to get a Deluxe room but the staff gave us a suite room as a complimentary service. The suite room was awesome and the view from the room was spell binding. Me and wife were overwhelmed by the view and we felt for sometime that we were in heaven.

Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner were excellent and lip smacking. Even the view from the restaurant was spell binding and even our eyes had a wonderful visual feast.

The staff were very friendly, caring and proactive. They were very professional in terms of service and we were very happy with their services. With the help of the hotel staff i was able to give a surprise candle light dinner to my wife. The way the staff have decorated the room was truly heavenly and enthralling. My wife was on cloud 9 after seeing the arrangements and she was literally jumping out of sheer happiness. The staff has created a such a wonderful environment to have the candle light dinner. Me and my wife have enjoyed the intimate romantic dinner.

I would suggest everyone to visit this hotel at least once to get mesmerized with the wonderful views from the hotel room and also to experience the wonderful service and affection of the staff.

On our 6 days visit to Kerala Munnar was the place where we were to spend 2 days/nights so the hotel had to be good and we were not disappointed. The room was large and cozy. The views were beautiful and getting up to such sights was truly awesome.Breakfast was good with all the stuff found in buffet breakfasts. The place is calm and peaceful.
We were very tired flying out the same day and doing a bit of sightseeing on that day itself so we did what we normally avoid and that is order room service. Now that was a big mistake. The room service took about an hour and 15 mins by which time we were too tired to even eat. A very important tip here is either to go in for the buffet dinner which is abt 350/- i think or order food from the buffet itself, will save u hours.
As per some reviews the market is close and that's true but the approach roads while walking back at night were almost completely dark and shady, try to avoid walking back very late and carry a flashlight(we used the fone's L.E.D)

Room Tip: -Of course the tea garden views are awesome -Go in for the buffet dinner which is abt 350/- i think...

This hotel is 300 metres to the village centre and market. The views from the rooms and restaurant are of the tea plantations and beautiful. The rooms have balconies. The staff is very professional and helpful. The breakfast is Indian and American and GOOD. The rooms are very large and Indian. I think if you are looking for beautiful unobstructed views of the teal fields and want to walk to the market and shops, really this is the best hotel. I wish the reviews were better so that I could have found it easier

I had been to Kerala for a 6 days trip and i stayed in Hotel C7 for 2 days . the roads leading to the hotel are worst and full of pot holes and stuffs . We just taught we made a wrong choice for the hotel. But once we reached the hotel the story was different. The staff in the hotel was too good and welcoming we were received with a good welcome drink and provide with a nice room with a beautiful view of the evergreen lushest tea garden spread over a wide area. The scenery from the room was fantastic and the sound of the a small water fall below gives it a soothing effect . The mornings was so peaceful and calm it just refreshes ur mind.

The food provided was nice and hot and the service was good too .The rooms were maintained clean with all the accessories in place with gud and clean linens.

i loved the staff there hospitality, the hotel ,the scenic and everything about it. me and my wife had a good holiday at this place.

Room Tip: Tea garden view rooms

I and my wife had a very good experience at The C7. This is long, but worth ur time reading .We had gone there on our honeymoon trip and we had a wonderful experience. It was during the winter and we enjoyed well.
To begin with, the road leading to the property was full of potholes and we were anxious for a moment of what we were heading into. But once at the hotel all our anxieties were put to rest. The building looks like one of those old houses from English movies and i love those kind of houses. We were welcomed warmly and taken to our room which was a Galaxy on the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and well kept and well lit. The linens were clean and well laid. The bathroom was neat with no bad odours. It was well stocked with all necessary toiletries. But the best was yet to come. When the curtains to the tall windows were drawn we were exposed to what can only be described as a dream come true. There we were, sitting in our bedrooms looking at lush green hills. A friend's father once told about Munnar that 'Every inch of land is beautiful'. From where i was looking, i knew he was not exaggerating. I could go on and on with this....
Next we went to the restaurant. Again the view outside was beautiful and green, with bright flowers and a small brook flowing along this garden. As we were in a hurry to go out, we just had from the buffet. The food was excellent. The food was served hot. The buffet tables were kept filled at all times. Extras that we ordered were served promptly. The experience at the restaurant on all three days of our stay was excellent with different cuisines served at different times, but still leaving us enough options to choose from.
That evening we were served a special candle lit dinner (Part of the honeymoon package), complete with a complementary cake too. The ambience and music for the occasion were excellent.
Back in the room were in for the next surprise. Opening the door we were welcomed by the aroma of fresh flowers and colours of balloons strewn all, over the place. Our bed was decorated with flowers and even the bathtub was full of rose petals.
An assortment of fresh fruits were served everyday. Warm flavoured milk at bedtime and a hot cup of coffee in the morning.
The only complaint i had to make was for one occasion when the room service i ordered for was delayed. But the complaint was promptly attended to.

Having said so much about the hotel, i have to say it is excellently placed. Walking distance from town centre and local market and also from the Tea museum which is a must visit place.

Overall we are very happy in the choice of accommodation we made for that very important trip in our life.

Room Tip: Tea garden facing galaxy rooms!!! Restaurant!!

I stayed in this hotel in Dec 13. Ovarall Location is nice. You can watch tea gardens from each balcony.

However, Rooms are not upto the mark. This building is mearly 5 years old but it look alike 100 year old building. If you a vegetarian then you don't have so much option. I have to eat spring roll only.

Room Tip: Ask for Tea Garden Room and Don't have meal in the hotel restaurant.

run away till you can !!!
we went to kerala for a 11 days trip, and the 3 nights we spent in this hotel were the worst.....
before entering the hotel, the look from outside gives you a chill in your back, but you hope that it will be better from enside
well guess what ? its not, its actually worst
the people at the reception look tired and not at all welcoming.
they dont even say say good morning or good night when they see you.
and please dont ever expect a smile from them.
that is just the reception part.
the rooms are clean and spacious, can't lie about that , and the view is good ( galaxy rooms )
I was hoping to enjoy the view during the mornings and evenings, sitting on the small terrace of my room.
But that turned out to be impossible because of the neverending noice from the other guests.
People slamming doors, kids screeming, their parents screeming even louder, people shouting on the phone, from 6 am to midnight.
And all this noice didnt seem to disturn anyone, not even the receptionist, who told me that there is nothing they can do about it....
then there is the breakfast part
another desaster. The room is big, but they have like 2 waiters for 20 tables, so you can imagine the mess
you will need 1 hours ans a lot of patience if you want to have breakfast there.
There is no cup, you get the cup, there is no coffee, you get the coffee, there is no sugar
there is no bowl, you get the bowl, there is no cereals, you get the cereal, there is no milk
it just keeps on going like that.

So if you are planning to book for this hotel PLEASE think again
there are much better hotels in the city at this price.
We wanted to change but all the hotels were booked at that time, so we had to stay , but please please dont go there.

Room Tip: you want a good room ? go to another hotel
