“had a great stay”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

it was after a long time am being to munnar and a friend suggested me this hotel and while going through the review in trip advisor i found it to be a good one.

i had booked a club suite and the room was great. it had dinning area, a balcony with a great view of tea garden, a king size bed with mini bar loaded with chocolate, coke, soda and water.

the service was very good and helping ones.

food can be ordered from restaurant below and the food was great.

the hotel also provides complementary breakfast for all type of taste from corn flake n fruit juice to dosa sambar and bread toast with omelet.

overall stay at the hotel was very satisfactory. great place to stay

Room Tip: choose room with tea garden view

Very helping staff. need to improve on restraunt service quality. The information and guidence provided was quite useful. The garden view rooms are a treat to the eye.The restaurant apparently had less no. of cooks so the service was quite slow.

This hotel was booked for us when we utilized Tours To Kerala. We had opted for mid-range hotels with our package. I would have rated it higher had it not been for the massive amount of mould on the ceiling tiles in the bathroom, and elsewhere in our room. The beds were clean and comfortable though, and there was a kettle to boil water for drinking in the room.

The breakfast buffet was good. Staff should really be trained not to sneeze and cough onto the food. One waiter was sneezing and hacking openly, which was really unappetizing.

It is located in new Munnar, a bit outside of the main part of the city, but easily within walking distance to anything you need. We explored the whole area on foot the day we arrived, and it's an easy walk to the tea plantations, the river, and most importantly, to the spas! We utilized the spa at the Hotel Silvertips for Ayurvedic massages. We would recommend folks use Silvertips if they are looking for a more upscale hotel. Silvertips had wifi, a spa, cafe and gift shop, all which C7 does not have. The restaurant at C7 was only open certain hours, so if you had an early departure or a late arrival, you were out of luck to get any food.

Room Tip: Be sure you see the room before accepting it. Ours was full of mould.

Attitude is the singlemost thing that is important in any industry and the foremost requirement in a hosiptality industry. Staff at this hotel can do with a little more of attitude. Right from the reception to room service to kitchen, a change of attitude is an immediate requirement. Firstly, please do ask for a Garden facing room, else there is no fun staying at this hotel. The room that I stayed in (301) was smelly and the stench in the washroom was horrible. I was surprised to note that at 0930 PM, the room service told me that Kitchen is closed. However, he on persuasion bought me 4 phulkas (you wouldnt call them that if you would have seen them) and daly fry. The next day b'fast was the same sad story of cold food and no variety. There was this one boy whom i saw in room service who was there...

On checking out, the card machine did not work....what else..

The hotel has large bookings made by tour operators hence walk ins are not welcome.

Room Tip: Do not choose the odd numbered rooms. Ask for a tea garden facing room

We stayed in this hotel during Jan 2013 for 3 nights. The hotel is a fantastic property located in front of lush green tea garden. The rooms are excellent with great view. We had taken AP and the breakfast was very good with lot of choices. The staff was also warm and courteous.

Room Tip: Opt for galaxy room with tea garden view

We stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel Location is very good, walking distance to main market of Munnar. From the hotel restaurant you get very good view of tea gardens. Rooms are very comfirtable and hotel interiors are good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel to fellow travellers.

Room Tip: try to get backside room facing tea gardens.
